Just on tuesday 24th June 2025 i was in guangzhou for holiday. I went to grandview mall to visit the grandview mall aquarium and the rainforest. There are 2 capybaras in the rainforest. One is in indoor and one is in outdoor rooftop. Their skin are red and dry and can see that they are losing quite a bit of fur. There is a wound on the indoor capybara nose and it was swelling. As for the outdoor capybara, it was staying together with a couple of ducks but the water were so so dirty. It is so clear that the Habitat is not clean. The water have so much algaes in it, and worse of all i saw the poor capybara went to a corner of the water puddle to poo in the water while the ducks were playing in it. The skin condition is also red flaky and losing alot of fur. Another case is the groundhogs all groundhogs lose patches of fur one big patch kind of fur. It was quite horrific to see that the rainforest is collecting money for tickets and yet they did not take good care of the animals. Another chicks habitat, one of the chicks even had red open wound laying there and nobody cared. To be honest, i do not know which authority to contact. I try to google any animal authorities in Guangzhou or china and i found none.... i did email PETA and some world animal organization but there's no response. Yet i feel i couldnt leave the animals alone. So im posting here to create awareness. I feel that the animals are really neglected especially the capybaras, groundhogs and the poor chick!

This rainforest within the city helped me rediscover a long-lost sense of tranquility amidst the concrete jungle.

Day 1: As the sun rises, I arrive at the Canton Tower, a modern marvel of the city. Taking the high-speed elevator, I soar into the sky, capturing the breathtaking views of Guangzhou. The Pearl River stretches like a jade belt, with buildings on both sides blending modern and classical styles. Then, I stroll to Shamian Island, a historical enclave. European-style buildings stand tall, with ivy climbing the weathered walls, telling stories of the past. I wander through these ancient structures, feeling the weight of history and the passage of time, letting my soul drift in the river of history. Day 2: In the morning, I visit the Grandview Rainforest Ecological Garden, an oasis in the city. Upon entering, I am enveloped by the tropical atmosphere. Tall palm trees, lush ferns, and various rare tropical flowers create a vibrant scene. I walk along the garden paths, admiring the plants on both sides, occasionally spotting small animals darting through the bushes, making me feel as if I'm in a real tropical rainforest. Then, I head to Yuexiu Park, the green lung of Guangzhou. The park is filled with ancient trees and lush grass, with the Five Rams Statue standing quietly on the lawn, symbolizing Guangzhou. I stroll along the park paths, enjoying the freshness and tranquility of nature, allowing my soul to relax amidst the bustling city and rainforest adventure.
