Grundtvig Church (Grundtvigs Kirke), also known as the Organ Church, is located in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. It was built in memory of the Danish theologian, writer and poet Grundtvig. It is one of the few expressionist churches. The building is shaped like a pipe organ. The Organ Church was designed between 1912 and 1913 by the well-known Danish designer P.V Janssen Clint. The design of the church is a fusion of various styles. Before starting the design, the designer studied many Danish medieval village churches, combining the modern geometric elements of expressionism with the Gothic style and the style of European cathedrals.
