Today, we’re sharing a travel plan to explore the eastern side of Ranong city. Start your day by enjoying a meal at a famous local restaurant before heading out to explore.
1. Ranong Ocha Restaurant: This renowned dim sum and Chinese cuisine spot is a long-standing favorite in Ranong. The southern-style dim sum is selected from a refrigerated display and steamed upon order. The menu also includes breakfast items like porridge, pan-fried eggs, tea, and coffee.
⏰ Open: 6:00 AM - 1:00 PM
2. Ranong Canyon: This site features a water basin formed from an old mining area. After mining ceased, it transformed into a greenish water basin surrounded by earthen cliffs. It’s a great spot to relax, feed the fish, and enjoy the fresh air. Paddle boats are also available for some fun.
⏰ Open: 24 hours

Hat Som Paen Reservoir
Hat Som Paen Reservoir is located in Hat Som Paen Subdistrict, Mueang Ranong District, Ranong Province. It is a relatively small reservoir with a capacity of 10 million cubic meters. The reservoir benefits the local population by providing water for agriculture, rubber plantations, oil palm plantations, and various fruit orchards. Additionally, it serves as a raw water source for the production of tap water. According to information from the internet, you can study more about it. We visited on a cloudy day, which was a pity, but it was still beautiful. The area is quite large. In the evening, people come to walk and exercise. The atmosphere is very pleasant.
