For those traveling during the heavy snowfall in winter and facing travel disruptions, it is recommended to visit here as an alternative to Shirakawa-go. The village is easily accessible from Takayama, taking only 9 minutes by bus from Nohi Bus Station, stop number 1. The bus fare is just 100 yen per person. The entrance fee during the day is 700 yen per person, and at night, after sunset, there is a light-up event for 300 yen. The absence of crowds makes it a great place to take beautiful photos and enjoy the experience, making up for the inconvenience of being stuck in a snowstorm.

We played until 3 o'clock and returned to the hotel, just in time to check in, soak in the hot springs, have dinner, and rest in the hotel. ✨Day3 Shinhotaka-Takayama Accommodation: Takayama Sakuan A hot spring hotel with a very high cost performance. After arriving, we went to Gaoshan Old Street to eat handmade soba noodles, and then strolled around the old street today. This is a Hida folk village where there were once farmers who actually lived in the mountains, but now it has become a museum that preserves and reproduces the villagers' past lives. The village is located on a high place surrounded by mountains with cold weather. You can see Takanama City from above. There are about 30 old buildings, some of which are over 200 years old. They are the village chief's house, the assembly hall, the prayer hall, and other buildings that show the way of life from centuries ago. Takayama City has incredible appeal for people who like ancient streets. There are hot springs and Hida-no-sato outside, and Takayama Jinya and Miyagawa Morning Market inside. The most important thing is that the legendary Hida beef is produced here. This place has also been selected as one of the 100 famous waters. Such water quality means that its rice and sake are also above a certain level. No matter spring, summer, autumn or winter, it presents different beautiful scenery, but I personally like autumn and winter the most. The maple leaves all over the mountains in autumn and the white snow all over the ground in winter make people feel like they have cleansed their souls.
