The Police Museum, formerly the Wan Chai Gap Police Station built in the 19th century, has hundreds of exhibits. Exhibits include police equipment, documents and crime materials of historical value since the establishment of the police force in 1844. It is mainly divided into four exhibition halls: the historical exhibition hall, the triad exhibition hall and the special exhibition hall. History Exhibition Hall This exhibition hall showcases the evolution of the police force with historical pictures, historical files, uniforms, equipment, guns and other artifacts. Valuable exhibits include the head specimen of the "Sheung Shui Tiger" who killed a police officer and was shot to death in 1915, souvenirs donated by the widow of Mr. ” medals and various counterfeit banknotes samples. Triad Exhibition Hall Exhibits in this exhibition hall describe the history of local triads, the scope of their activities, and the beliefs and rituals adopted by their members. The thematic exhibition hall changes the theme of the exhibition from time to time. The first exhibition was devoted to "Marine Police", followed by "Traffic Police", "Police Station" and "Police Uniforms". The thematic exhibition "The Past and Present of the Police Force" is now on display. This hall will change the theme of the exhibition at any time as needed. Related knowledge: The Police Museum was formerly known as the Police Historical Records Committee. The committee has collected a number of artifacts related to the history of the police force and recommended that a museum be set up to display these items. The Police Force Museum was established in 1976. The original site was located at the Police Headquarters.
