HowFun (in Chinese known as 童乐汇) is an indoor playground at Howard Johnson Resort Sanya Bay. The playground is suitable for kids aged 3-12years old. My kids are 2 and 5 years old and they absolutely love the place. Its not big however have a lot of slides and other stuffs for kids to enjoy. Its clean and has an indoor toilet. You surely need to be at this place if you are looking to have your kids in an indoor playground whiles you can enjoy the fresh air outside. During the afternoon, many of the hotel guests are outside thus the place is quiet. We wanted a place we can relax whiles the kids can have fun so this place was perfect to spend the afternoon. The Howard Johnson at Sanya Bay is a hotel I've stayed at on several occasions. Located just a mere ten minutes away from the airport, this hotel offers five star luxury for a bargain price. The hotel itself has several big swimming pools suitable for families. The gardens at the hotel are so nice to walk around and take photographs of. Next to the hotel is a beach called Sanya Bay. Sanya Bay stretches for several kilometers. You CAN swim in the sea and there are a lot of sun loungers to relax on. It is also a wonderful place to take a sunset photograph because you can see the city center from the beach. #sanyabay

Location - The Howard Johnson Resort is located in Sanya Bay, near the airport. It's a little far away from most of the well known tourist attractions, such as the Atlantis, but to me that is part of the charm as it is much quieter in that area. Ambiance/Facilities - The hotel really feels like a resort and not just any other hotel. The space is huge, and there are many ways to entertain yourself. There are a couple of outdoor swimming pools, a few restaurants and lounges, a gym, a spa and a playground for kids among others. It also has its own access to the beach. Highlights - The best thing at this hotel was to be able to relax. The room had a nice balcony where you could sit and enjoy the views, and there was a bathtub in the bathroom to soak in. Last week, I took my baby to Sanya, and I must say, Sanya is truly perfect for family trips! Whether you have a newborn or an older child, it's absolutely ideal. Here's my freshly baked 5-day 4-night travel guide. Day 1: Arrival & Check-in at Pullman Sanya Bay This hotel is located along the Coconut Dream Corridor and is one of the more upscale options in Sanya Bay. The experience was fantastic—way better than the MGM Grand we stayed at later! The beach is just a short walk from the hotel corridors, creating a chill vibe with fewer crowds and a real vacation feel. There were more foreigners lounging on beach chairs under the sun, and the fine sand at Sanya Bay was perfect for kids to play in. I booked a Deluxe Sea View Room, but the hotel kindly upgraded me to a Panoramic Sea View Suite for free. The room was spacious and super comfortable. The pool area even had a dedicated sandpit for kids—such a thoughtful touch! I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Sanya. Day 2 & 3: Pullman Sanya Bay → MGM Grand, Yalong Bay We stayed at the MGM Grand for two nights, but the experience was just okay. The complimentary photo session was underwhelming—poor quality and not worth it. The check-in process took two hours due to the crowds, and the heat didn’t help. The only plus was the direct beach access. In the afternoon, with a gentle breeze, lounging on the beach chairs was quite relaxing. The Best Value Family Hotel I Found in Sanya For our last two days in Sanya, we chose to stay near the airport at Sanya Bay in the Howard Johnson Resort. We stayed in the JOJO Family Suite, which had an excellent layout: two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room, and a spacious balcony. The main pool overlooks a large lawn with a great view, the west area pool has a stylish design, and the children's pool with a water fort was my child's favorite—he didn't want to leave every day. While Sanya Bay's beach isn't as nice as Haitang Bay, the Coconut Dream Corridor area is still beautiful, with many pretty girls taking photos.
