Starting from the dream of a First Lady who wanted to take her people to explore the story of Indonesia in an open park, TMII was born and inaugurated in April 1975 as an area for preserving and developing the nation's culture. The diversity of 33 provinces in Indonesia is packaged in the form of miniatures of the Nusantara archipelago, regional pavilions, traditional buildings and architecture, regional arts, recreational parks, and various rides. The 150-hectare land is transformed into an art stage, recreation, and educational facility for visitors of various ages.
