Seeking Out the Most Secluded Local Life in Huizhou | Wuyuan
| Wuyuan. While the terraces of Huangling are bustling with voices,
and the farmers and cattle of Zhaguan have become popular photo spots,
Sixi Yancun remains quietly hidden among the green hills and clear waters of Wuyuan's northern route.
This is the "Hometown of Huizhou Merchants," where nearly a hundred ancient Ming and Qing dynasty houses are strung together like a traditional ink painting.
Smoke curls from the kitchens in the blue stone alleys,
and the sounds of washing by the stream intertwine with the murmuring of swallows, creating a poetic scene.
During the May Day holiday, avoid the crowds and use your lens to capture the uncommercialized daily life of Huizhou.

📸 Must-Capture Scenes in Sixi Yancun
1. Ancient Bridge and Reflections by the Stream
Location: Tongji Bridge at the village entrance, built in the late Ming Dynasty. The stone arch bridge is reflected in the stream, creating a picturesque scene like an ink painting when photographed in the light mist of the early morning.
Outfit: It is recommended to wear indigo or moon white Hanfu, holding an oil-paper umbrella at the head of the bridge, forming a color echo with the gray and white bridge body.
2. Time Tunnel Under the Carved Gate Tower
Location: "Jingxutang" mansion (location for the TV drama "Liaozhai"), shoot upwards at the caisson ceiling and the beams of light falling from the patio, and shoot sideways at the deep picture outlined by the carved door frame.
Light and Shadow Time: When the sun shines obliquely into the patio from 9 to 10 am, the wood carvings are projected onto the blue brick floor, which is suitable for shooting the contrast between light and dark.
3. Local Life of Vegetable Gardens and Horsehead Walls
Location: Yancun back hill path, overlooking the continuous Huizhou-style houses and villagers' own vegetable gardens. Tender green vegetable plots are dotted between the blue tiles and white walls. Use a telephoto lens to capture the silhouette of farmers carrying water to water the vegetables.
4. Sense of Time Travel Staying Overnight in an Ancient House
Location: Stay in a century-old house such as "Wuyuan Jiwei Mountain House", walk through the corridor with a lantern at night, and use long exposure to capture the warm yellow light trails in the same frame as the starry sky.
