[2025 Melaka Restaurant] Travel Guide for Jonker Street Hawker Centre (Updated Jun)

#myfoodies I brought my foreign friend to the Jonker Street of Melaka on last weekend, we went there for craving the mouth-watering Malaccan food and experience the charm of the heritage city. The Jonker Street Hawkers Center is situated just behind the center stage, in between Jalan Hang Jabat & Jalan Tokong. There have lots of stalls offers variety of local delights and desserts. I'd ordered some must-try local foods for sharing, my friends love the Nyonya Laksa, Oysters cake, Stir-fried clam with spices and Cendol, they really like its unique flavours. There is a hawker street section at Jonker Night Market selling delicious seafood varieties. Decided to try the half-boiled cockles & stir fried spicy garlic lalas, even though there were other plenty of options available. The lalas is the bomb. It was so garlicy & spiciness was just right. Cockles were not bad too. The dipping sauce for it was quite interesting, it was chilli mixed with peanuts. There is a big outdoor seating area, it was quite breezy & not stuffy as it is away from the woks. However, you need to purchase at least a drink from the drinks stall as the outdoor space belongs to them.
