I went to Lucky Park in Fukushima, which I've always wanted to go to🫶 The reason why Lucky Park is in Fukushima is because Lucky is Fukushima's cheering Pokemon, and the park has playground equipment based on that motif, so it's called Lucky Park👀 Other than Lucky, there are also Beloringa, Pikachu, Pii, and Puppin... All Pikachu are pink Pokemon!!! There are four Lucky Parks in Fukushima Prefecture: Koriyama, Namie Town, Yanaizu Town, and Showa Village👀! At Kuriyama Station, the transfer station to Aizuwakamatsu, I smelled the smell of bread from a bakery as soon as I arrived at the station, and I couldn’t help but buy two kinds of bread This bakery has been completely decorated in a Halloween atmosphere, very cute. There were hundreds of cherry trees planted on both sides of the river, and it was really beautiful. Koriyamayudokoro Manekinoyu was the first onsen we visited on our current trip to tohoku—and it turned out to be a wonderful and relaxing experience for the whole family. From the moment we stepped in, the staff were incredibly friendly and eager to help, despite our very limited Japanese. They patiently guided us through the process, which made things so much smoother, especially for our first soak of the trip. The bathhouse seemed to be popular with the locals, which we always take as a good sign. It had a nice, authentic community feel—people chatting quietly, unwinding after their day, and going about their routine. It made us feel like we were getting a true slice of everyday Japanese life. Inside, there were a variety of pools, each designed for different purposes—some hotter, some with bubbles or jets, and others more for a calm soak. Everyone in the family found something they liked, and it was such a great way to ease the travel fatigue, especially after hours of moving around. While it wasn’t a fancy or luxury-style onsen, Manekinoyu felt genuine, clean, and welcoming—everything we were hoping for from a local public bath. We stayed at Daiwa Roynet Hotel Koriyama Station for a night after a long drive straight from Narita International Airport, and by the time we arrived, the whole family was exhausted. What stood out most during our short stay wasn’t just the hotel itself—but the exceptional service we received from one very special staff member. There was a small hiccup during the check-in process, but Miss Hanh, the front desk receptionist, handled everything with such grace, patience, and warmth. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable, and her sincere efforts to accommodate our needs truly touched us. It wasn’t just professionalism—it was genuine kindness, and that made all the difference after a tiring day of travel. Morning is a yogurt specialty store in Fukushima. They also have cafes in Saikon and Asaka, so I went there for lunch. The menu includes dishes that use yogurt, and they are very delicious. I thought the yogurt in particular was the best I have ever eaten. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have any branches in Tokyo. The cafe has a parking lot, and it seems like they get a lot of customers from outside the prefecture. They also had a wide variety of yogurt to take away.

The view from the hilltop where the ancient tomb is recreated is amazing, and the breeze coming in from the river is refreshing. The exhibits, which span from the Jomon to Kofun periods, are easy to understand. It's even easier to understand if you ask a volunteer to explain things to you. There are plenty of playground equipment for children outside. You can make magatama for 500 yen, and try making fire for free, without making a reservation.

Aika, formerly a fruit shop in Koriyama with a 40-year history, has been transformed by its owner—an avid whiskey and toy collector—into a bar specializing in fruit cocktails and rare whiskey (available by the glass). Within a few years, it has become a popular spot for second or third rounds in Koriyama, often packed between 9 PM and 11 PM. Highly recommended are the visually appealing and delicious honeydew melon cocktail slush and salted watermelon cocktail. When you go up the elevator, the view of the city spreads out before you, and it's a great view. There are few people and it's great that you can enter for free. Takayashiki Inari Shrine has the same torii gates as Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine in Kyoto. Although there are not as many as 800 torii gates, it is still as majestic as before! The most special thing here is that you can feed black-bone chickens! ! The staff gave us rice and bread to feed, and the children loved it! Koriyama is not as bustling and prosperous as Tokyo or Kyoto, but because of this, its tranquility and simplicity make people feel the real daily life in Japan. First sight of Koriyama: a combination of city and nature I took the Shinkansen to Koriyama Station. The area around the station was more lively than I had imagined, with complete commercial facilities, but if I walked a little further, I could feel the leisurely atmosphere of the city. The air in Koriyama in winter is fresh, the streets are not crowded, and the mountains in the distance are covered with snow, giving the whole city a healing feel. Rich in natural attractions: Lake Inawashiro and Mt. Bandai This time I went to Lake Inawashiro, the fourth largest lake in Japan. In winter, the lake reflects the snowy scenery of Mount Bandai, which is as beautiful as a postcard! If you come here in winter, you can also see flocks of swans spending the winter there. It is particularly therapeutic to watch them floating quietly on the lake. In summer, this place is suitable for water activities or camping. Mount Bandai is a paradise for mountaineering enthusiasts.
