[2025 Nikko Attraction] Travel Guide for Kanmangafuchi Abyss (Updated Jul)

A lovely little shrine for a peaceful walk and a very inviting swim spot for a hot day.

Nikko, a World Heritage city in Japan, is located about 140 kilometers from Tokyo. Don't forget to try the fried buns, they are very delicious. For traveling within Nikko, you can purchase a Nikko Pass which allows free rides on trains and buses, and also offers discounts on entrance fees to various attractions.

The gorge that can be enjoyed following a not-too-difficult trail has a series of stone statues along its path, watching the river and protecting the dead. You'll start seeing the first examples soon after you cross the entrance gate. Keep walking for the most picturesque part with a series of statues forming an arch and lending themselves to some nice pictures. I wish to travel more in 2024

Kanmangafuchi, Nari Jizo, and Reibokaku Takumicho, Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture There is a path along the Otanigawa River. In this area, you can see the beautiful scenery created by lava erupting from Mt. Nantai and the clear waters of the Otanigawa River. You can also find around 70 Nari Jizo (also known as Bake Jizo) and Reibokaku, where a goma offering ceremony was held to pray for peace in the world, facing the stone statue of Acala on the opposite bank. Take the Tobu bus bound for "Chuzenji Onsen" or "Yumoto Onsen" for 6 minutes from JR Nikko Station or Tobu Nikko Station, get off at "Sogo Kaikan-mae" and walk for 20 minutes. #triplucky2022 #Amazing view
