It's a 19th-century beauty that meets trends of London today. From the outside the hotel looks like the grande dame but the interior promises contemporary design and style. The Kimpton Fitzroy London is part of the IHG Hotel and is located centrally located with main sights just within walking minutes away. The British Museum and British Library are just a stone throw away. Also if you don't mind a longer walm you reach Oxford street and Covent Garden Market (appr. 1.5km). Standard rooms are small so I recommend to get a higher category to enjoy a more spacious layout (e.g. as shown in the pictures). #newyearadventure

Great looking hotel, gothic and opulent. The best part of my stay was the incredibly comfortable bed. I’d arrived jet lagged and just sunk into that bed.

From its exterior, this magnificent 19th-century landmark building boasts modern comforts, such as spacious, art-filled suites with views of Russell Square, as well as astonishing destination restaurants and bars. Fitz's, a charming bar, keeps the cocktails flowing; Burr & Co., a casual chic coffee shop; all these details draw the modern traveler to stay and linger for a while.

This time I stayed in Kimpton for one night in London. It is next to Russell Square and has a very good location. 1. About the hotel The hotel is very big, and there is a handsome guy at the door to help guests with their luggage. The interior decoration is very classical and very beautiful. There was also a London Fashion Show (Helen Anthony) on the night we checked in. All the fashionistas in London came and the scene was spectacular. 2. About the room The room is quite small, and there is almost no space for my 26-inch suitcase. The bed was very comfortable! Lots of snacks were provided. 3. About breakfast The hotel has few breakfast options, but the coffee is pretty good. You can also choose freshly prepared meals from the menu. 4. Shopping and visiting exhibitions It is 15-20 minutes away from the shopping center of London, which is very convenient. The British Museum is a 5-minute walk away.
