While sightseeing in Okinawa, I visited the Kinjo Town Stone-paved Road. The Kinjo Town Stone-paved Road is a beautiful, tasteful stone-paved road that has remained since the 16th century. It is so steep that you will run out of breath when walking. There are gaps between the stones and it is uneven, so wear comfortable shoes. Also, Ryukyu limestone is slippery when wet with rain, so be careful where you step. At the time, the road was about 10 km long in total, but now about 300 meters of stone pavement remains in Kinjo Town, Shuri. There are red-tiled houses in the surrounding area, and you can enjoy a walk while feeling the history of the Ryukyu Kingdom era. There is a free rest area halfway up the slope, marked by a large banyan tree. It is a place of relaxation for local residents that reproduces a traditional old house of Okinawa.
