[2025 Aso ] Travel Guide for Komezuka (Updated Jul)

📍Trip Overview Aso and Takachiho Gorge Trip that my Taiwanese husband has been looking forward to! We rented a car in Kumamoto for a 2-day, 1-night trip🚙 🚩Route Day 1: Kumamoto Castle⇨Lunch🍙Aso Beef Bowl⇨New Aso Bridge⇨Kusasenri⇨Komezuka⇨Aso Shrine⇨Daikanbo⇨Tochigi Onsen Day 2: Shirakawa Spring⇨Takachiho Gorge⇨Takachiho Shrine⇨Amano Iwato Shrine⇨Return to Kumamoto City Aso and Takachiho Gorge Trip that my Taiwanese husband has been looking forward to! Unfortunately, the weather was bad at Kusasenri and Daikanbo😖, but we enjoyed beautiful scenery around Takachiho on the second day with good weather! My husband was very satisfied with the trip🚙

📍Yonezuka Observation Point 🏷️ 〒869-2226 Otohime, Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture 🚶♀️ There is no observation deck, so you will have to view it during the drive or from the car window. There are many view spots along the "Aso Panorama Line" and there are also points where you can park your car, so please park in a place that does not get in the way of traffic. 🚗 None 🕐 24 hours 🗓️ Open every day 💰 Free 📝 Previously, you could climb Yonezuka, but now there is a fence around it and it is prohibited to enter. The reason for this is that the slope was destroyed by climbing, causing bare land and erosion, damaging the habitat of rare plants. #CarTrip One of the joys of traveling in Aso is driving 🛣️ Aso Panorama Line has many view spots ♪ On the way back from Kusasenri, where I had to give up due to a huge traffic jam, I saw Yonezuka! A wonderful view that blew away all my sadness of not being able to go to Kusasenri. The green Yonezuka and the surrounding pampas grass plains were like something out of a movie.
