No journey through Bali feels truly complete without pausing to savor the flavors born from its volcanic soil and misty hills. At a charming plantation stall tucked among the greenery, I was welcomed into a tasting experience that was as generous as it was immersive.
🫖 The Tasting:
A curated flight of locally grown teas and coffees awaited, offered free of charge—each sip a small window into Bali’s agricultural pride. From lemongrass tea to robust Bali Arabica, the samples showcased both delicacy and depth. The standout, however, was the famed Luwak coffee. Though this specialty required a Rp 60,000 payment, its smooth earthiness and distinctive aroma made it more than just a beverage—it felt like drinking the island’s story.
🌿 The Atmosphere:
With lush foliage framing the tasting area and the soft chorus of nature rising around us, the environment lent itself to reflection. The crowing of a nearby rooster punctuated the morning air, lending a rustic soundtrack to the experience. Sunlight filtered gently through the canopy, catching wisps of steam from the cups and mixing the scent of roasted beans with mountain breeze.
