Whilst it can get crowded with people buying bracelets to be blessed by the monks, if you go further into the complex, there are spaces which are very quiet and good for reflection. One of the highlights of our trip was seeing the huge wooden statue of Buddha in one of the halls which is an impressive sight.

Yong He Gong aka 雍和宫 which is located in the capital of People's Republic of China Beijing and which is considered one of the best preserved Lama or Lamaism Buddhism temples outside if Tibet. Without any exaggerations, this temple is a unique germ in a Beijing cultural heritage necklace. Yong He Temple possesses very rare artifacts which could not be found anywhere else and therefore representing the difference between lamaism and other studied and giving the picture of Lama doctrine. The architectural style was found topical for Lama Temple planning in Tibet. At the same time the temple is commemorating the memory of Qing Dynasty emperor for which glory sake it was established. For instance, The Iron Hall of Qing Dynasty is kept very well in this temple (taking photos are prohibited with both reasons, religious and aim to protect it from light). Hi, everyone! Today I would like to introduce one of the most impressive Buddha stature I saw during my trip in Beijing. At first, we are in Yong He Gong Lamaist monastery in the heart of Beijing City, Dongcheng district. Yong He Gong has a lot of artifacts but this one is really impressive, just mind shocking! Very tall solid Buddha stature created from bronze! It has no parts, it was moulded as it is during the Qing dynasty for the sake of those days emperor glory and popularization of Buddhism as the marketing guys could say now. Immense Buddha is dressed in very clean and beautiful clothes looks like watching you from a high altitude with a little smile. The west gate of Lama Temple is not far away. Feeling: The red bricks and green tiles of the city wall under the sun, and the birds flying in the blue sky are very pleasant. You can spend a leisurely afternoon here. Scenic spot: Ginkgo Avenue, the leaves are half yellow and half green. It is surrounded by temples, sheltered from the wind and facing the sun. The ginkgo leaves turn yellow later than those in the vast Ditan Park. The bell tower is hidden by ancient trees, making it difficult to capture its entirety. The same is true for the Drum Tower opposite.

This time, I spontaneously flew to Beijing for a layover and short trip with out-of-town friends who wanted to explore the city without the hassle of complicated accommodations. We decisively chose Ji Hotel (Beijing Daxing International Airport Terminal Branch), and it exceeded expectations—truly the perfect blend of "efficiency + comfort"! The hotel is located near Daxing Airport, offering free shuttle buses to/from T1/T2/T3. After landing and collecting our luggage, we hopped right on the shuttle and arrived in just minutes! Even better, the hotel provides luggage storage and package receiving services. My friend arrived on an early flight, so we left our bulky luggage at the front desk and traveled light. We took the airport express to Caoqiao in just 19 minutes, seamlessly transferring to the subway to explore the city (we checked out Yonghe Temple and Nanluoguxiang). After a day of fun, we returned to collect our luggage and check in—efficiency at its finest! 🎒✈️➡️🚇➡️🏙️ Exhausted after a day of sightseeing, we instantly recharged upon returning to the hotel. The admission fee is reasonable, and the transportation is convenient. There are also other places to visit nearby. Wudaoying Hutong and Yonghe Temple Street lead directly to Guizhou Street, which is lined with delicious food. The Xilou Hutong nearby also has the Berlin Temple, which was the national temple of the Yuan Dynasty but is not open to the public. Another famous place is Paolu Hutong. All these places are definitely worth a visit.
