This is by far the prettiest museum in Northern California. The best part is if you want a photo shoot like I did above, the outside is completely free and empty on weekdays. Whether you want the Louvre feel or pillars in your headshots, this place has got you covered. Apparently, it's a replica of Palais de la Légion d'Honneur. So, if you're missing France, just bring your pastries and have a seat in the courtyard. Not only does it have a rich artistic atmosphere inside, but the exterior architecture is also exquisite and elegant, making it perfect for photos📸. This time, I came specifically to see Monet's classic painting 'Water Lilies,' and it was truly worth the trip. Works by Rodin, Rembrandt, Cezanne, Van Gogh, Monet, etc. are on display, so even if you're not very good at art, time will fly by as you look at each piece. It's so famous, diverse, and beautiful that it's on display. The art museum building itself is built in an antique style like Europe, so it's great for sightseeing. However, the souvenir shop has a lot of souvenirs unrelated to Legion of Honor, and they're expensive, so I don't recommend buying them here. Still, the art pieces on display are rare things you'll only see in your lifetime, so I highly recommend visiting if you come to San Francisco.

The museum is magnificent and majestic. The air is fresh and pleasant in the middle of the mountain. The works inside are beautiful and worth a visit. You can also walk up from the bottom of the mountain. The road is very quiet. The building itself is very spectacular and imposing. You can visit the Legion of Honor and the de Young Museum in one day, and one of them is free! Except for special exhibitions, you can arrange a one-day itinerary for two museums.
