[John Lennon Wall | Symbol of peace and freedom] A "living art" spot in Prague where you can freely inscribe your thoughts
I went to John Lennon's Wall, one of the places you can't miss when sightseeing in Prague 🕊️🎶
It was originally just a wall, but after John Lennon's death, young people started writing messages of freedom and peace on it, and it changed into an art space.
⸻
🎨【The wall continues to evolve】
Every time you visit, a different picture is painted on it, and it is also called "unfinished art".
When I saw it this time, along with colorful graffiti, "LOVE" and "PEACE" were written in languages from all over the world ❤️🕊️
⸻
📍【Location and access】
Velkopřevorské náměstí, 118 00 Malá Strana, Prague
At the foot of Prague Castle, about a 10-minute walk from Charles Bridge.
It's in a place that is easy to stop by during sightseeing 👣
⸻
📸【Points】
・A very popular photo spot!・This is a place where you can feel the feelings of people from all over the world while touching the wall.
・Graffiti with spray cans is prohibited, but it is loved as a place to leave words filled with emotion.
・In reality, there is so much graffiti that it's hard to tell what's what🤣

[Prague] A two-day, one-night whirlwind trip for two
📍Location: Prague
💰Price per person: about 75€
(Almost 24h stay, not including hotel fee and round trip transportation to Prague)
I planned a trip to Prague on the impulse of being drunk the day before.
Arrived at Prague Central Station around 1pm
Basically, it's a small city for sightseeing, so walking is enough
You need to buy a ticket and activate it❗️ for the tram and subway!! You get caught and fined quite often in Prague. It's better not to try to slip through.
I walked towards the castle and looked around the shops I had marked
On the way, I found several Christmas markets near the Clock Tower Square and bought a huge beef hamburger for about 14€ and a beer for about 3€! Needless to say, it was delicious!
I also tried cornet ice cream, a Prague specialty?! The pistachio flavor was delicious. I saw a lot of gummy candy shops so I bought some because I thought they were famous. There were also some dirty jokes, which was fun 🤭
The work of lighting the lights on Charles Bridge is an old tradition, and it was so popular that everyone was following the people and taking photos and videos!
I ended up not being able to enter the castle at night, so I took some photos nearby and then headed to the hotel!
On the way, I stopped by the John Lennon Wall and had the famous honey cake at a cafe near the Japanese Embassy. The owner was a cute old lady, and she made the cocoa carefully and was cute too! The honey cake was so delicious that I really wanted to eat it again (cafe: Café Kafíčko)
And then❗️An unexpected❗️problem❗️
I couldn't get into the hotel I booked on trip.com! I was standing in front of the hotel at 8pm in despair. It was pitch black in a new country, and I was in charge of reservations, so I felt very sorry >_

The wall is no longer a barrier, but a cry - Experience of visiting the Lennon Wall in Prague
#5月好去地方2025
In the winding alleys of Prague's Lesser Town, I found a wall that does not require a ticket but is full of soul - the Lennon Wall. It is not as gorgeous as a palace, nor as solemn as a church, but its colors, words and graffiti touch people's hearts more directly than many museums.
Standing in front of the wall, the first thing I felt was not a visual shock, but a surge of emotions. The wall was covered with layers of words about peace, freedom and love. John Lennon's face was looming, covered by layers of new graffiti, but it seemed never to be erased. Here, he became a symbol, a continuation of the spirit.
The story of this wall began in the Czech Republic in the 1980s, when young people regarded John Lennon as a symbol of freedom and wrote protests against the system and their desire for ideals here. Today, it has become a place for travelers from all over the world to leave their voices, with different languages and colors, but together weaving a borderless connection.
I also stopped at the corner and wrote down the graffiti that impressed me the most: "Love is the answer, even when you don’t know the question." - Perhaps we have all been confused, but the desire for love and freedom is the simplest but deepest voice in everyone's heart.
The Lennon Wall expresses that protest can be art, and the voice does not have to be loud. It can also be a poem written on the wall, the eyes in the painting, or the footsteps of a traveler who stopped gently. This is not just a wall, but also a mirror, reflecting everyone who is willing to believe in change.

Prague – Where Bridges, Castles, and Art Collide

#familytrip #localguides #postandearn
Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is a city that seems pulled from the pages of a fairytale. With its centuries-old bridges, majestic castle, and colorfully painted walls, it’s a destination that captures hearts instantly.
One of Prague’s most iconic sights is the Charles Bridge, a Gothic masterpiece lined with statues of saints and offering stunning views of the Vltava River and the city skyline. The early morning light or sunset glow over the bridge turns the scene into a magical experience.
Towering above the city is Prague Castle, the world’s largest ancient castle complex. This sprawling landmark includes St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, and Golden Lane. The castle’s architecture tells the story of Czech history through Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque elements. Wandering through its courtyards and cobbled paths feels like stepping into medieval Europe.
But Prague is not just about historical grandeur—it also embraces creativity. Neighborhoods like Lesser Town (Malá Strana) and Josefov are decorated with painted walls, graffiti art, and whimsical murals. The John Lennon Wall, constantly evolving with new messages of peace and freedom, has become a symbol of Prague’s resilient spirit and artistic soul.
Blending Old World charm with a rebellious creative streak, Prague is a city where every turn of a corner reveals another layer of beauty. Whether you’re admiring baroque domes, strolling along mosaic alleys, or capturing the perfect photo by the river, the city enchants you at every step.

🎨 Lennon Wall: Where Prague Speaks in Color
#cityplaybook
Just off the charming Kampa Island and steps from the Charles Bridge, the Lennon Wall isn’t just a wall—it’s a canvas of hope, rebellion, and creativity that changes with every visit.
🖌️ A Living Monument
Once a blank wall under communist rule, it became a spontaneous tribute to John Lennon and the ideals of peace and freedom. Today, it’s layered in graffiti, Beatles lyrics, and global messages—constantly evolving with every passerby.
📸 A Snapshot of the Moment
This is one of Prague’s most Instagrammable spots—but don’t just take a picture. Take a moment. Read the scribbled wishes and quotes, or add your own mark with chalk or paint (yes, it’s encouraged!).
🎶 Street Performers & Soul
You’re likely to hear live acoustic covers of “Imagine” or see a traveler sketching in a notebook. It’s Prague at its most heartfelt and human.
💡 Local Tip: Visit early in the morning for photos without crowds—or stay late for ambient music and night-lit color.

[Prague🇨🇿] A leisurely walk up the hill🤍
There is a hill just beyond the Charles Bridge from the direction of the Old Town in Prague, and on top of it there are many historical tourist sites such as Prague Castle.
Today, we will introduce a plan for a leisurely one-day walk around the hill!!
①The slope in front of the main gate of Prague Castle
The first photo shows the cityscape of Prague as seen at the top of the stone steps.
Unfortunately, the weather was bad, but the cityscape of Prague with its orange roofs was very beautiful.
The slope is quite steep and the view is bad, but the pastel-colored buildings along the way were cute, so I enjoyed climbing up🤍
You can get close to Prague Castle by tram, but since you're there, I recommend walking up the slope to see the beautiful cityscape!!
It seems that the slope was the setting for Nodame Cantabile!
②Hradcany Square
The square in front of Prague Castle.
In addition to the castle, there are palaces and cathedrals, and this area represents the history of Prague.
There was a stylish gate like the third picture, and it was a good place to take a break after climbing the hill in ① 🥹
③ General Stores
When you go down the hill, there are some cute general stores, and it was a perfect area to look for souvenirs.
Even though they are general goods, they are a bit unique, as shown in the fifth picture.
I collect postcards when I travel abroad, so I bought some stylish and cute postcards this time ☺️
You can also enjoy various things, such as eating at a nice restaurant or taking a short river cruise.
④ John Lennon Wall
The John Lennon Wall represents the peace of freedom.
It was very colorful and there was a crowd, so it was quite noticeable.
Since Czech Republic was originally a communist country, the desire for more peace and equality is reflected on the wall.
After John Lennon passed away, fans wrote messages on the wall to express their condolences.
However, it seems that John Lennon never visited Prague.
Prague is such a wonderful place that you'll stop and look around everywhere.

Prague Lennon Wall (John Lennon Wall)
This is a wall with a picture of Beatles member John Lennon. Originally, messages of resistance to the regime were written on this wall. After John Lennon was assassinated in 1980, an artist painted a portrait of John Lennon and some of his song lyrics on this wall, and since then, this wall has become the John Lennon Wall.
After that, people have been drawing or writing about peace, political struggle, and wishes. Since so many tourists visit and write this and that phrase, the pictures and phrases on the wall change every time I go. LOL. It can't be helped because they keep drawing on it..
When I went, there were all kinds of stickers on the picture of John Lennon, so I couldn't even see his face. LOL

Prague: The Enchanting Medieval Charm
Prague, a city that captivates the senses, is like a delicate painting that perfectly blends medieval romance with modern vitality. The ancient architecture, winding streets, and the flowing Vltava River all add to the city's unique charm.
My journey in Prague began at the Old Town Square. This is the heart of Prague, where the ancient Prague Astronomical Clock's hourly performance attracts visitors from all over the world. The lifelike statues on the clock tower slowly turn as the clock chimes, as if narrating the long history of Prague.
As night falls, the Old Town Square transforms into a dreamy Christmas market. The dazzling lights, a wide array of goods, and the aroma of mulled wine create a festive atmosphere. Here, I tasted the local delicacy, Trdelník, a chimney cake coated with sugar, sweet and soft, leaving a lasting impression.
Charles Bridge is another iconic landmark in Prague. Walking on this historic bridge, with statues on both sides and the view of the Vltava River, is a delight. The reflection on the river at sunset adds to the romantic atmosphere of Prague.
Besides these famous attractions, the streets and alleys of Prague are full of surprises. I stumbled upon the John Lennon Wall, with its colorful graffiti and messages of love and peace, showcasing the vitality and creativity of Prague's younger generation.
Prague, a city full of fairy-tale charm, deeply attracts me with its unique architectural style, rich historical atmosphere, and warm citizens. It is a city worth savoring and exploring slowly.
Introducing the hidden gem of Prague, the Lennon Wall.
This wall is a mural painted by anti-government activists in the 1980s.
Why John Lennon? Well, it seems that John Lennon was the symbol of anti-government activists at the time, and his portrait, lyrics, and famous quotes were painted on this wall!
The JOHN LENNON PUB near this wall is also worth a visit.
This whole area is a recommended hidden gem in Prague that Beatles fans should visit.

The Lennon Wall in Prague, reminiscent of a colorful rainbow
#JapanFlightEvent
The colorful Prague Lennon Wall that reminds me of a rainbow as soon as I see it!
If you walk along the Lennon Wall Street while listening to John Lennon's songs,
you'll feel like you're the main character of the song. ㅎㅎ
Since the graffiti colors are diverse,
you'll be able to take prettier pictures if you wear neutral clothes!
