Lindau borders the Austrian town of Hörbranz. The maximum depth of Lake Constance is 251.14 meters and the average depth is 90 meters. After leaving Liechtenstein, I checked in to Lindau, a small German border town. I strolled around this "island" in the morning and found it surprisingly beautiful. ​ Liechtenstein became known as the "Stamp Country" mainly because in ancient times, they acted as messengers, delivering mail between Milan and Lindau. ​ Lindau is located on the northwest corner of Lake Constance. Walking south from the train station, you can see the large lion statue and lighthouse on the lake. The surrounding countryside is also incredibly beautiful.

On July 24th, I took a train to the small town of Lindau on the eastern shore of Lake Constance. Initially, I planned to take a boat from Lindau to Konstanz, as I heard it was the most beautiful city by the lake. There wasn't much information about Lindau. However, as soon as I stepped out of the train station, I was captivated by the beauty of the lakeside, so I decided to stay in Lindau. Lindau is a city in Bavaria, Germany, located on the eastern shore of Lake Constance, at the junction of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Lindau is the starting point of the 'Alpine Road' in southern Germany, and its most distinctive features are its harbor with the Alps as a backdrop, a lighthouse, and a lion sculpture representing Bavaria. The quaint and exquisite cobblestone streets of the old town provide a tranquil atmosphere. From Lindau Harbor, you can look south to see the distant, continuous Alps, which mark the borders of Switzerland and Austria.

Lindau is a small town located on Lake Constance in Germany. It used to be a fishing town in the area with a history of more than a thousand years. It is now the starting point of the Alpine Street in Germany's tourist route. Most travelers don't come here from Munich because the old town is very small and can be visited in about two hours, but it is also about a two-hour drive from Munich. I started from Dornbirn, Austria, and it only took 20 minutes by train to get there, which was very convenient. The most famous landmarks of Lindau are the new lighthouse on the shore of Lake Constance and the statue that symbolizes Bavaria: the Lion of Bavaria, which is about a five-minute walk from the train station. The old town of this town is on a small island, and it only takes ten minutes to walk from the train station at the west end to the east side. Since this lake is at the border of Switzerland, Germany and Austria, you can see the two countries on the other side if the weather is good. Lindau is the perfect place for hiking! While at the end we were really exhausted, it was definitely worth it! We met new people along the way which is why the hike didn‘t feel very long.
