I'm sharing the travel guide from Xiamen to Lingtong Mountain: It's super suitable for students and workers without cars, or friends who just don't want to drive! · ⛳Location: Lingtong Rock, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province 🚌Transportation: Join an outdoor group, gather at SM and take a bus directly to the destination (p.s I don't recommend this, everyone should check for themselves, there are many outdoor clubs in Xiamen now) 💰Cost: Average 168 per person, including transportation and admission (20), bring your own lunch. · Hiking itinerary: ⛳Destination: The highest peak of Lingtong Mountain - Qingtian Peak, 1288m above sea level ① 8 o'clock - Gathering: Gather at SM before 8 o'clock. ② 11 o'clock - Arrive at the foot of Lingtong Rock: Depart from Xiamen, about 3h to the entrance of Lingtong Rock ③ 12 o'clock - Arrive at Lingtong Temple: About half an hour of climbing. Spent the weekend running around a mountain temple in Zhangzhou. 1,500 stairs up the side of the mountain is this temple that, surprisingly, wasn’t too busy despite the holiday. It may not have been perfect conditions for a clear view of the ling tong temple - or the mountain it’s on - but the rolling mist was perfect for moody shots. It’s said to be spiritually potent—consider bringing incense for prayers (also sold at the entrance). 2. Qingtian Peak: The main peak of Lingtong Mountain, standing at 1,288 meters. The ascent is primitive and highly challenging, with many sections being "wild trails," but it’s thrilling and unforgettable! A must-do! The one-way hike takes about 2 hours, and the summit rewards you with sweeping views of sea of clouds and mountain ranges—an overwhelming sense of "life is a vast wilderness." It’s a prime spot for sunrise/sunset (as seen in the reference itinerary). 3. Qingyun Temple (next to Qingyun Hotel): One of the starting points for the hike, worth a quick visit. 🎫 Ticket info: Entrance fee: ¥20/person. Parking fee: ¥10/car at the scenic area entrance/parking lot. Reminder: Bring some cash as backup—though mobile payments are common, signal can be unreliable in the mountains. ❤️ Other tips: Gear is crucial! Footwear: Wear sturdy, comfortable sports or hiking shoes with strong grip! The wild trails are rocky, and poor footwear will make the trek miserable. Clothing: Long pants + long socks are essential to prevent scratches and bug bites. Bring sun-protective clothing and a hat—UV rays are intense at the summit. Tools: Trekking poles (highly recommended! They save energy on both ascent and descent), a backpack (to free your hands). Protection: Apply insect repellent beforehand! Supplies: Water and snacks: Carry enough drinking water and lightweight, high-energy snacks (chocolate, nuts, energy bars, etc.). After waiting for half a day, I only captured the smoke from the firecrackers at the temple (Picture 5). - When we returned to the foot of the mountain, we were not discouraged. We checked the weather forecast and saw that it would rain the next day, so we immediately decided to climb again the next day. After another half-hour climb and another half-day wait, the rain still did not come.
