KK is a coastal city that is perfect for a vacation. Follow my guide to explore it! Day 1: City Walk First, go to the KFC opposite Suria Sabah Shopping Mall and near Hyatt Regency Kinabalu. The KFC chicken drumsticks in Malaysia are amazing. I had them for two nights in a row as a late-night snack! Then, visit the Sabah Night Market to experience the laid-back lifestyle of the locals. Sitting on the ground is quite interesting. Don't miss the delicious coconut water from Prince Coconut nearby. Also, visit the City Mosque. The entrance fee is MYR 5 per person. You can only walk on one side of the outer perimeter. There is a designated photo spot. Although it is a great place for photos, it may not be worth taking a taxi just to visit. You can decide based on your preferences. Day 2: Island Hopping No need to wake up early. Just wait at Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal, and there will be boats heading to the islands. Some people may try to persuade you to join their tours, but don't believe them. Go directly to the company with the yellow logo and footprints. They have boats going to the islands on the same day. The island fee is MYR 25 (only pay once). It costs MYR 35 to visit one island and MYR 45 to visit two islands. You can skip the window projects for now. At Manukan Island, I changed into a jellyfish suit and wanted to snorkel on my own, but the water was easily murky, and the visibility was poor. I didn't dare to swim far. I wanted to do snow cooling during my trip, so I went there. I went there and added the sea walking (250 ringgit per person) recommended by the guide for safety reasons. If you really want to do sea walking, try it. I was thinking about bringing a GoPro, but the guide took all the pictures, and it was so good to film the sea walking experience with the GoPro. It's better to wear a swimsuit and a long T-shirt over it. I went swimming and changed clothes at Sapi Island, and I got a great photo at Manukan Island, but when I returned to the dock... I got all wet while riding the boat. ㅠㅠㅠ But I still had so much fun. Sapi Island - The best place to do snow cooling, play, eat, and do other things. There's a simple shower room. Manukan Island - It was good to take a great photo and see things. This is where the BTS album jacket photo was taken. Getting there from Jesselton Point Jetty, its easy and convenience (boat available every 15-20min, from 8am-4pm). I even made few friends along the way very friendly couple too, I’m so blessed! Manukan is well develop got resort from Sutera Harbor and few bar and restaurant too. Entrance price for the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park (TARP) island is Rm8 local/ Rm25 int (must present the ticket to every island you visit) Mamutik island is okay not bad, good place to learn diving if you interested.

There is practically nowhere to swim in Borneo. For a beach holiday, visitors usually go to the nearest islands. In the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, which is just a few kilometers from Kota Kinabalu, there are 5 islands and Manukan is one of them. Manukan is quite a large island compared to others. If anyone wants to ask me "the most recommended outlying island in Sabah", my first thought must be here. The reason is very simple. Tengku Ocean Park is only 15 minutes away from the city of Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah. It is not like the outer sea. From the island, you need a boat to get there. The distance from the city is as clear as the sea, the beach is as soft as the beach, and the most important thing is that there are five kinds of islands in addition to various rich marine entertainment projects and perfect facilities.
