Small but Dazzling Marado, Today's Healing
During my trip to Jeju, I spent a day visiting Marado. The weather was absolutely perfect, with the sea so clear it looked like glass. Just walking under the blue sky felt incredibly healing.
The island itself is small, so it only takes about an hour to walk around it. However, taking my time to snap photos and rest here and there, it took me a little over two hours in total. 🤣
The paths are well-maintained, making it easy to walk, and there are spots like a church, a lighthouse, and the southernmost monument where you can take memorable photos.
✅ What I personally loved:
• The sea was so clear and clean that I kept stopping to admire it.
• It wasn’t crowded, making it perfect for a peaceful walk.
• The traditional Korean snacks I tried at a local shop were surprisingly delicious (highly recommend!).
❗ Things to note & tips:
• The black bean noodles (jjajangmyeon) were honestly just average—don’t expect too much.
• Be sure to take motion sickness medicine before boarding the boat—the waves were a bit rough.
• There’s no shade when the sun is strong, so a hat or sunscreen is a must!
• If you disembark quickly, you can grab a good spot, so move fast! 😁
📌 In summary:
If you enjoy walking, this is a place you’ll definitely appreciate. On a clear day, the vibrant colors of the sea alone make it worth a visit. :)
