[Tokyo/Gaienmae] An urban oasis! A park that both children and adults can enjoy
Tokyo 𓂃 𓈒𓏸 Gaienmae/Sendagaya
Meiji Park
Meiji Park 🌿, which was expanded and renovated last October, is located exactly halfway between Sendagaya and Gaienmae, right next to the National Stadium.
The park was created as an oasis to color the city, and it has three unique plazas: Hope Plaza, Inclusive Plaza of Diversity, and Michi Plaza, which celebrates the Shibuya River.
Hope Plaza is located in the center of the park and is a grass plaza that is the symbol of Meiji Park. It is made of natural grass, and there were cones standing there when I went, so maybe the grass is growing 🥺
The Inclusive Plaza is a place that creates unique experiences in both hard and soft aspects, such as play equipment and workshops themed around inclusivity and diversity.
The playground equipment is unique and the little ones had a blast playing there ☺️
Michi Hiroba is an area facing Gaien Nishi Dori Street.
There are step benches to sit on,
waterscapes that pay homage to the Shibuya River system,
and trees that change with the seasons.
There are many restaurants in the park, so it would be nice to have a picnic on a sunny day 🧺
