Old Town of Panama 🇵🇦
When we think of Panama, we think of modern, tall buildings with an amazing skyline. But Panama City also has an old side!
Visiting the Old Town of Panama City is like stepping back in time. The cute narrow streets, colorful colonial houses, and also the well-preserved historic buildings make a good walking tour!
The area is home to some cafes, museums, galleries, and restaurants. It is also the most popular area to stay in as it has great nightlife with a number of good rooftop bars
The Old Town is also a UNESCO World Heritage site, and a great place to learn about Panama's rich cultural heritage and history. It is also one of the safest neighborhoods so definitely a great pick to stay in! #panama

What is Panama after the establishment of diplomatic relations with China?
Panama City is known as the Central and South America of Dubai, rich and charming, and the old city of Panama retains the colonial look. In April, Panama began to enter the rainy season, and it rained from time to time to cool down.

World Cult
World Cultural Heritage, Panama's historic district, blends the early styles of Spain, France and the United States to maintain the typical style of the early streets.
Walk in a block that is not too large, but it seems to have entered the history of Panama, from ancient colonial buildings to modern architecture, it can be traced here, it is difficult forget.
Spanish conquistador Patricos Dale established the original Panama City in an original Indian fishing village in 1519. Since then, the Panamanian isthmus, especially Panama City, has gradually become a major international center.

[Panama Mariscos Market | Actually built with support from Japan!?]
— A treasure trove of seafood, its roots lie in support from Japan —
📸It's clearly written on the plate in the photo!
OBRA FINANCIADA POR EL GOBIERNO JAPONES
(Funded by the Japanese government)
A TRAVÉS DE LA AGENCIA DE COOPERACIÓN INTERNACIONAL (JICA)
(Through the Japan International Cooperation Agency JICA)
This shows that the Mariscos Market (Mercado del Marisco) in Panama City was completed in 1995 with support from the Japanese government through JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency)✨
⸻
📍[Construction background]
In the 1990s, Panama's fishing infrastructure was insufficient, and fishermen could not have a stable sales base, and there were issues with freshness and hygiene management.
So, as part of Japan's ODA (Official Development Assistance), JICA cooperated and built a hygienic and efficient market facility 🎌🐟
⸻
🗓️ [Construction date]
As written on the plaque, it was completed and opened on June 30, 1995 🎉
The mayor of Panama at the time was Mayin Correa.

[Panama City] A return point from South America, with skyscrapers and colonial buildings side by side.
Panama City, the capital of Panama, is a stopover point on the way back to Central America after completing a trip to South America.
The first thing that strikes you when you visit is the modern cityscape lined with skyscrapers.
The background to this is the economic benefits of the Panama Canal and the city's growth as a center of international trade.
On the other hand, in the old town, "Casco Viejo," the colonial architecture and cobblestone streets from the Spanish colonial era still remain.
⸻
📍Major tourist areas
・Casco Viejo
→ Old town registered as a World Heritage Site/Churches, squares, and stylish cafes dotted
→ Heat measures are essential while walking/Taking a break at a cafe is the standard style
・New town (near Cinta Costera)
→ Area lined with skyscrapers/The face of the "Central American financial city," a stark contrast to South America
→ There are many spots where you can enjoy the canal museum and skyline.
⸻
🕰️Visiting timing
Can be visited all year round/It's really hot during the day, so it's best to stroll in the morning or evening.
It's relatively safe at night, but be careful when choosing an area.
💸Estimated cost
・Cafes in the old town: Coffee is about 3-5 US dollars
・Local beer: 2-4 US dollars per glass at bars and restaurants
・Walking around the city is basically free
