[Pudding and baked curry at Mojiko Retro]
Mojiko, Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture
When you think of "Mojiko Retro," the first place to think of is Mojiko Station!
It's actually one of two nationally designated important cultural properties (station buildings currently in use). (The other is Tokyo Station.)
Milk Hall Mojiko, located right in front of Mojiko Station, has a chic interior with a Taisho-era retro atmosphere.
Their signature menu items are pudding and baked curry.
The pudding has a traditional firm texture🍮
The bittersweet caramel goes perfectly with the whipped cream!
The cherries are cute🍒
The baked curry has eggs and a few vegetables inside, and plenty of cheese on top!
It's not too spicy, so even children could eat it👍🏻
There were also spices on each table, so using them added richness.
The shop has large windows, and the counter seats offer a panoramic view of the ocean 🌊✨️
When I asked if I could get the pudding to go, I was told that there is a sister store across the street that sells it, so I went there too.
The name of the store is Mojiko Principal.
It's a bottled pudding, so it would make a good gift.
You can get a good view of the Mojiko Station building from here!
In the evening, you can see the beautiful sunset and the sparkling sea. Mojiko is a great place to spend some relaxing time, so it's recommended when you want to forget the hustle and bustle.
