[2025 Okayama Hotels] Travel Guide for Mitsui Garden Hotel Okayama (Updated Jul)

During my trip to Okayama, I chose to stay at the Mitsui Garden Hotel, and the overall experience was excellent. The hotel's location is outstanding—just a 5-minute walk from JR Okayama Station. Right across the street is the large AEON MALL, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, or picking up daily necessities. Nearby, you'll also find Don Quijote, convenience stores, and Takashimaya, ensuring all your needs are met. The first-floor lobby is spacious and elegantly decorated, featuring numerous artworks that add a touch of cultural sophistication. Check-in can be done via self-service kiosks, but friendly staff are also available to assist. I stayed in a double room, which, while not very large, was efficiently designed and equipped with all the essentials. The housekeeping staff thoughtfully replenished two complimentary bottles of mineral water daily, which tasted great. My favorite feature was the large public bath on the 10th floor, open from 3 PM until 9 AM the next day. There's no need to rush when enjoying a relaxing soak in the evening. The bath area is clean and comfortable, with views of greenery outside, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of activities. For a weekday rate of under 3,000 TWD, this hotel offers incredible value for money. Its prime location, well-rounded facilities, and excellent service left a lasting impression. If I visit Okayama again, this hotel will undoubtedly be one of my top choices.

The location was easy to find and it was easy to move suitcases. There were many commercial facilities such as shopping facilities such as Sanste, supermarkets, drugstores, and convenience stores between the station and the hotel, so it was easy to buy things. The impression is that most of the hotel guests are business travelers. The front desk and lobby were clean, but the rooms were simply decorated. The rooms are unit bath type, but there is a large public bath inside the building. The large public bath was smaller than I expected and was quite crowded, but it was nice to stretch my legs and soak in the bath. Conveniently located just 8 minutes' walk from Okayama Station, the hotel's lobby atmosphere is lovely, with a cozy cafe serving complimentary coffee and biscuits (though we can't recall the exact timings 😊). The adorable doors and decorations at the cafe caught our attention, adding to the hotel's charm. The staff are super friendly, but do note that they're strict about hotel rules – make sure your registered name matches your passport name to avoid any hassle. We found the room to be small but spotlessly clean. Although we didn't try the hot spring due to exhaustion, the breakfast buffet the next morning was delicious and definitely worth trying. A big plus was the hotel's flexibility in allowing us to store our luggage after check-out, which was a huge relief – we ended up collecting our bags around 7 pm 🤭. The beds are soft and comfortable, and I felt relaxed as soon as I lay down. The rooms are also equipped with smart facilities, such as smart TVs and air conditioning, making our stay more convenient and comfortable. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of food and drinks. Breakfast is rich and varied, including fresh fruit, fresh bread, hot dishes, and drinks, satisfying our cravings. 🎈 The hotel also offers a variety of entertainment facilities and activities, such as a swimming pool, gym, and spa. The room is not big and it seems that the previous tenant smoked there. The smoke smell in the room can only be removed by opening the window and using an air purifier for several hours. Smoke-free treatment is not enough. Non-smokers avoid.
