Masjid Al-Ghamama
#medinatrips Masjid Al-Ghamama is one of Medina’s most historic and spiritually significant mosques. Located near Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, this mosque is believed to be the place where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) performed the Eid prayer and prayed for rain (Salat Al-Istisqa), after which the sky was covered with clouds—hence the name Al-Ghamama (meaning "cloud").
The mosque’s architecture is stunning, with a classic Ottoman-style design, elegant domes, and a peaceful atmosphere. Though no longer used for daily prayers, visitors can still enter and appreciate its historical value.
Being so close to the Prophet’s Mosque, this is a must-visit spot for those on Hajj or Umrah, as it offers a deep connection to the Prophet’s life and prayers.
Highly recommended for history lovers and spiritual seekers!

The most treasured trip, Madinah
The peaceful feeling, (happiness and tearful with joy) it was so peaceful and the feeling is phenomenal, cannot explain in words ❤️
Accommodation: choose your accommodation wisely Pullman zamzam is the best choice
Food Recommendations: eat healthy and stay away from local Asian restaurants unhygienic & they cheat with the bill. Eat at the hotels inside they do a 3 course buffet
📌 Tips: once you’ve cleared customs, buy a sim! It’s best to book a car in advance but if you haven’t that’s no problem a bus goes from outside the airport into Haram Madinah.. 12 Riyals a ticket. You arrive in Madinah Haram, all the hotels are a walking distance to the hotels avoid taxis. The local golf cars are “FREE OF CHARGE” They’ll drop you off at the hotels or the gates inside haram square any where. Those golf cars are for all guests entering haram :)
THE CONS: be very careful, Asians stop you, on the roads avoid at all costs they scam!! (Pakistani,Indians,Bengali)
Personal belonging: please stay alert a lot of Pakistani and Bengali’s are around and they are best known for pickpocketing!!
“They beg for MONEY and use their children, please ignore them” .. it’s a great way to make free money!!! It’s a norm for them. They are dressed in their traditional clothing you cannot miss them! Also, be very careful especially ladies and girls their men are best known for harassment. They start singing while you pass-by or they say something in their language and deliberately try bumping into women, and pretending it was done accidentally!!! It’s appalling to see Pakistani men holding hands in public, are they Gays? It’s disgusting.
That’s the cons of Madinah, I hope the government can do something about these Asians!!!!
THE PROS: There is a lovely museum and places to see google search and get out there and visit the places! From Shopping places, to holy places. Purchasing daily needs lulu market and bin Dawood are the best option very clean.
Visiting the Rawdah, download the app Nusak then you can enter with an appointment.. (ladies) it’s a beautiful feeling entering the Rawda.
And don’t forget to feed the poor hungry cats on the streets, a great shame they are mistreated.. Turkey is well known for taking care of cats. You’ll see so many cute kittens 🐈 try to feed them daily :)
Madinah residents (Saudi citizens) I found very helpful and very respectful towards women!! They don’t gaze at women, in the uber their front mirrors are faced upwards, they don’t touch your hand when returning your change!! They’ll help regardless especially the police whom are located everywhere in Haram! It’s a matter of asking, they are very polite well mannered and respectful!! Incase of any help ask the Saudi citizens they’ll direct you better!
Any kind of an emergency the numbers are always behind every hotel room. From police to any kind of an emergency …
Madinah is a safe area, the only thing which makes one feel unsafe is to many Pakistanis/Bengali Otherwise loved Madinah
