The Snow Mountain Hotel in Baisha Ancient Town hides a breathing art gallery
On my second day in Lijiang, I discovered this new homestay. Initially drawn by its design, I soon realized that a comfortable stay at the foot of the snow-capped mountains could be so deeply healing ✨
🖼 Artistry that captivates at first sight
The reception area feels like a miniature art gallery, with warm-toned aged wood and soft lighting—every detail exudes thoughtful craftsmanship, creating a seamless blend of nature and design in every photo. Later, I learned the owner spent two years relocating materials like old barn wood, century-old osmanthus trees, and Fujian seashell walls into the courtyard. Walking through it feels like stepping into a "breathing museum of vintage treasures."
🛏 Room details that win over even the pickiest guests
The room I stayed in was a visual delight:
✔ Wooden furniture with a warm, textured feel, bathed in cozy lighting
✔ High-end amenities like Marshall speakers, Dyson hairdryers, Kohler bathroom fixtures, and DeRUCCI mattresses—each detail reflects sincere hospitality
✔ Thoughtful touches like makeup remover pads, hair ties for ladies, and a fridge stocked with drinks and snacks for late-night cravings
💁 Gentle and attentive butler service
Afternoon tea features freshly made desserts with light tea, delivered quietly to your room.
A sweet goodnight soup arrives before bed. The butlers are warm and responsive, always available without being intrusive.
🌌 The most unforgettable: private courtyard hot springs
At dusk, soaking in the hot spring while gazing at the snow-capped mountains, with the evening breeze carrying osmanthus fragrance—time seems to slow down.
At 5:30 AM, I was startled awake by golden light—the sunrise over the mountains was right before my eyes! The butler had already prepared butter tea. Standing on the terrace, sipping tea as the golden hues faded, I finally understood the profound meaning of "receiving nature's gifts in complete relaxation."
✨ This isn’t just a stay—it’s a full-body-and-soul healing experience
Open the window to snow-capped peaks, soak in the hot springs while listening to the wind, and even the air feels infused with tranquility. If I return to Lijiang, I’ll choose this place again without hesitation.
