Roaming the grounds of My Son Sanctuary, so many beautiful ruins around. Some are being rebuilt carefully as they don’t want to destroy or diminish the original ruins of this huge temple. When visitors also come to visit, they are careful not to touch or deface any of the structures. The sanctuary is huge and surrounded by nature, it was really nice to see the structures even in their destructed conditions. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a must-visit if you're travelling through Vietnam and end up near Danang or Hoi An. This was the easiest starting point during our trip when wanting to stop by this ancient site of the Champa Kingdom. I visited the My Son Sanctuary in Da Nang, Vietnam! The site is quite expansive, and it takes several hours to explore fully. Since Vietnam is extremely hot, spending a lot of time outdoors can be exhausting! I highly recommend preparing for the heat by bringing sweat protection and staying hydrated. There are scheduled shows where you can enjoy traditional dances, which are definitely worth checking out. If you’re in Da Nang, I strongly suggest visiting the My Son Sanctuary!

I went to My Son ruins, which are close to Da Nang in Vietnam. It's convenient to take a taxi from the airport. It costs about 4,000 yen round trip. A short walk from the entrance is the electric cart stand, so you can ride it into the interior. Once you arrive, you can walk around the whole area. An hour is enough to see everything. The ruins are similar to the pagodas in Bagan, Myanmar, but most of them have collapsed. These ruins are also made of bricks, but I couldn't find any information on where the bricks were made. I'll look into it the next time I visit.
