[Ishikawa Prefecture] Travel back in time to the feudal era! The remains of the mansion where samurai lived: "Nagamachi Samurai Residences"
The remains of the residences where Kaga clan samurai and warriors lived remain in the "Nagamachi Samurai Residences" in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture. From the ochre-colored earthen walls to the stone-paved paths, you can stroll around feeling the atmosphere of the time. 🚶
It is designated as a traditional environment preservation area and the first scenic area in the Hokuriku area, and is open to the public. At the "Samurai Residences Nomura House", you can enjoy the gorgeous buildings and beautiful gardens and feel the Japanese atmosphere. 🍵
There are also other spots where you can feel the history of the time, such as the "Former Kaga clan samurai Takada House Remains", which has a long-house gate from the feudal era open to the public, and the "Kanazawa City Ashigaru Museum", which has a relocated and recreated foot soldier residence. 🥸
It is so quiet that it is hard to believe that it is so close to the downtown area, and you can enjoy different scenery during the day and at night! It was a charming place with a sense of atmosphere, where the old-fashioned streetscape blends naturally into the modern world and makes you feel like you've traveled back in time 😌

[Ishikawa Prefecture 🇯🇵 Nagamachi Scenic Area] Stroll through the castle town surrounded by the atmosphere of the Edo period
#FuriTabi
Nagamachi Scenic Area in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
It is the first scenic area in the Hokuriku region☺️
The castle town's earthen walls and stone pavement continue, creating an atmosphere of the Edo period.
I went there in the winter this time, so I was able to see yukitsuri and komogake in the snowy scenery.
The wisdom unique to snow country is amazing‼️
It is only during the snowy season, so it can be seen from around December to around March☺️
I highly recommend it.
I strolled around feeling the history, and there were cafes and pottery shops, so I was able to take a short break while enjoying shopping.

This street is located very close to Korinbo, so it's convenient for sightseeing at the same spot.
The old-fashioned atmosphere has been preserved, and samurai residences are lined up along the street.
There are also Japanese-style cafes and general stores, so it's fun to browse the quaint shops.
