There are 3 floors and 7 galleries, a spiral ramp from ground floor to higher levels at the center hall. The gallery is spacious with tranquil atmosphere, rest points provided for visitors to take a break. The theme "NUSA" in Malay translated as motherland or homeland in English. The exhibition showcases a selection of Contemporary & Modern Art, Pop Art and Sculpture from renowned Malaysian artists and several Asian fellows. The best modern art museum in Malaysia with a focus on Malaysian artists. The downside to living in SE Asia is the complete absence of good fine art museums. This national museum is as good as it gets over here. Although it doesn’t have world-famous arts, and B-class compared to big museums around the world, I can feel the team and government is doing the best they can, probably with (very) limited funding! We saw a video on tiktok of National Art Gallery or also known as Balai Seni Negara and we decided to pay a visit there. It is a public art gallery located next to Istana Budaya at Jalan Tun Razak. Went there by car and the parking was quite easy although it's on weekend. The entrance is free. The National Art Gallery has just reopened to public this May after renovation so there is not much attraction when we went in August. Our favourite was a digital exhibition that celebrates Australian Aboriginal in collaboration with Australia Museum called Walking Through A Songline and it is quite fun. You entered a small space where only 10 people are allowed at one time and it gives you the feeling of walking through songlines. #awesomepic #artgallery

This is my first time visiting to art gallery. Entrance is free. I’m excited to see those cool art pieces with cultural significance! All the paintings are amazing, some with historical elements. Paintings are still been taking care very well. I went to National Art Gallery after lunch hour, around 3pm. I had spent one and a half hour in the gallery. There’s a lot of visitors due to weekend holiday. Overall experience was great and wonderful. I love to look at all the arts and think. It’s worth to been there.

Location - Located at Jalan Temerloh, Titiwangsa. Kuala Lumpur. You may drive or there’s a nearby LRT (LRT Titiwangsa) then book a grab to the National Art Gallery (3.9km). Attractions - Amazing art exhibition. Operation days - Monday to Sunday. Operation hours - 9am to 5pm (I think last call is at 4pm). It would be better if you come early. #freemuseumdays For free Museum day, I recommend visit the National Arts Gallery Malaysia in KL. The art gallery is huge with several levels of collections. Highglht is their Tun Razak Gallery which has many arts displays such as the famous elephant art piece, big steel piece art, various paintings of various artists (both local and foreign) worth admiring on the walls. I also recommend the clay arts displays which are very unique and worth photo-taking. I recommend spend 1-2hours here. And most importantly, the entrance to this gallery is free!

enjoyed the tour across many local artists, using all forms of medium and messages. even the shop was interesting with books on local women artists. free entry and clean toilets too. but you have to eave bags in lockers which are also free. no water fountain and building is bit large for the works there
