After six years of closed-door renovation, it finally opened to the public in February this year. In addition to exhibiting many calligraphy works, the museum also exhibits antiquities brought to Taiwan. The antiquities on the ticket allow us to play the game of finding antiquities while appreciating them. A parent-child activity area suitable for children has also been added on B1 of the museum, allowing children to have fun and educational effects in this space. After visiting the National Museum of Taiwan History, I had many feelings and thoughts in my heart. This is not only a museum that displays Taiwan's history, but also a living storybook of Taiwan, which allows people to experience the process of Taiwan from prehistoric times, indigenous peoples, Dutch and Spanish rule, Qing Dynasty, Japanese rule, to modern democratic society. What impressed me most was the permanent exhibition "The Story of Taiwan", which revitalized history through real-life reproduction, wax figures, and multimedia interaction. Walking in the exhibition hall, I seemed to be in the past, seeing how the Taiwanese people struggled, migrated, integrated and persisted in different periods, especially the process of the interweaving and coexistence of various ethnic cultures, which made me deeply feel the diversity and resilience of Taiwan. In addition, the Children's Hall and the VR interactive exhibition area are designed very carefully, not only allowing children to learn and have fun, but also allowing adults to re-understand history from another perspective. This design makes history no longer boring, but a learning experience that emphasizes both senses and thinking. After the visit, I have a clearer understanding of "Who am I? Where do I come from?" Taiwan is an island full of stories, and we are part of these stories. This visit not only enriched my historical knowledge, but also deepened my identification and feelings for the land of Taiwan. In the future, I will cherish this land more, and I hope more people can come to the Taiwan History Museum to listen to our own stories.

Following the chronological order of the exhibits, I immersed myself in the calligraphy of Qing dynasty scholars, architectural blueprints from the Japanese colonial period, and visual imagery of Taiwan's modernization journey. Black-and-white photographs documenting urban transformations whisper forgotten stories into the ears of those who observe them. Standing before the "Century of Light and Shadow" exhibition area, I gazed at the projected images on the wall for a long time, feeling as though I had become a tiny speck in the vast flow of history.

As the wind brushes through the windows, carrying a faint scent of wood and the essence of time, one can't help but marvel at the profound cultural heritage of this city. Every step taken in Chihkan Tower is an intimate encounter with history. It is not only a landmark of Tainan but also a bridge through time, allowing visitors to deeply appreciate the glory and serene beauty of the past.

#Taipei Itinerary Day 1: A walk through time at the Taiwan Museum of History Early in the morning, I set out from downtown Taipei and took the MRT and bus all the way to the Taiwan History Museum in Tainan. Upon arrival, what catches your eye is the architectural design that blends modern and traditional elements. The museum is divided into sections to showcase Taiwan's evolutionary history from the aboriginal era to the modern era. Aboriginal handicrafts, artifacts left by the Dutch East India Company, and old photos from the Japanese colonial period make people feel as if they are in the long river of time and feel the weight and warmth of history. In the afternoon, I strolled through the museum’s outdoor garden, admiring the landscaping inspired by Taiwan’s natural landscape. It was peaceful and full of artistic conception. Return to Taipei in the evening and experience the vibrancy of modern Taipei by feasting on delicious food at Ningxia Night Market. Day 2: Diverse Experiences of City and Culture The next morning, I went to the National Palace Museum to admire precious ancient artifacts, such as the Jadeite Cabbage and the Mao Gong Ding, and deeply felt the profoundness of Chinese culture. In the afternoon, head to Huashan Cultural and Creative Park to experience the tension and innovation of modern culture in creative exhibitions and art shops. At dusk, I watched the sunset at Dadaocheng Wharf. The brilliant glow of the sunset illuminated the surface of the Tamsui River, bringing the trip to a perfect end. In just two days, history and modernity, tradition and innovation blended together to outline the diversity and charm of Taipei.
