#mountainhike If you think the best mountains are always very far from the big cities, you are wrong! Look no further than A-la Archa National Park! Ala Archa National Park is a stunning natural treasure in Kyrgyzstan, just a 30-min drive from Bishkek. It’s a perfect spot for hikers as there are many trails and things to see! Getting There You can easily reach the park by car or public transport from Bishkek. The drive takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive, there’s a small entrance fee. Hiking Trails The park offers several hiking trails for all levels. For beginners, the trail to the Ala Archa waterfall is a great choice. Along the way, there is also a glacial river. It’s about a 1.5-hour hike with beautiful views along the way. For more experienced hikers, the trek to the Ak-Sai Glacier is challenging but rewarding! ⛰️ During the hike to the glacier (>1000m elevation gain), you’ll see breathtaking landscapes, with some of the best rocky mountains and forests, and clear rivers. If you’re lucky, you may even spot some local wildlife like eagles and marmots. 📸 When you’re on the trail, there wouldn’t be any shops. So bring water and snacks as the hike could get very challenging!

Alaarcha Park is an hour away from Bishkek. Light trekking is possible, as well as long-term trekking with camping.
