🏞️ Come to Wulai's hidden forest secrets on the weekend - Neidong National Forest Recreation Area, surrounded by rich greenery and waterfall energy!
As soon as you enter the entrance trail known as the "Wawa Valley", the rainforest atmosphere accompanied by frog croaking is like a whole world. The waterfall viewing trail is flat and easy to walk. Go along the Nanshi River. You can see the spectacular three-stage Xinxian Waterfall in about 30 minutes. The waterfall water droplets and negative ions blend into the skin, and the whole person is refreshed.
After watching the waterfall, you can continue to challenge the forest bathing trail, take a deep breath to see ferns, insects, birds... everywhere is a natural ecological classroom; you can also walk on the scenic trail to overlook the Luohao Dam and Xinxian Tribe. The complete 3.2-kilometer route can be easily completed by parents and children, and the elders can easily complete it. There are pavilions and seats along the way.
The most considerate thing is that the barrier-free facilities are complete. The wooden plank road without climbing stairs is very friendly to strollers and wheelchairs. It is highly recommended for family travel! The overall ticket starts at only 65 yuan, and a trip to the forest bath and waterfall view is perfect CP value.
👣 Charming forest bath at the entrance
Neidong is located at an altitude of 230-800 meters. The old name "Wawa Valley" comes from the echo of frogs croaking in the valley at night. The moist air here breeds a variety of broad-leaved forests, ferns and insects. Every step you take is like breathing the essence of the forest.
🌊 Three-stage Xinxian Waterfall - Negative ion explosion
The main attraction is Neidong Waterfall (also known as Xinxian Waterfall), which has three layers of waterfalls: the upper layer is 13m, the middle layer is 19m, and the lower layer is 3m. The waterfall viewing trail is about 1.2 kilometers long, and you can enjoy the looming waterfall perspective; walk to the wooden plank waterfall viewing bridge, and you can feel the water mist and negative ion baptism up close.

Flat asphalt road + wooden plank road, equipped with pavilions and barrier-free facilities, strollers, wheelchairs, and carts can also pass easily  .

Combined with gravel and wooden stairs, it goes deep into the lush primitive forest. Those who like to immerse themselves in the forest are definitely worth the challenge  .
👉🏻Scenic viewing trail (about 1.5km)
Connecting to the other two trails, the viewing platform along the way can overlook the Luohao Dam and Xinxian Tribe, which is a holy place for taking photos .

The trail is known as the "Fern Paradise" in the north because of its diverse ferns and croaking frogs. There are also many birds and insects, which is a good environment for parents and children to learn and have fun. 👉🏻Ticket information: Full ticket is NT$65 on weekdays and NT$80 on holidays; half-price and discount tickets are also available, and children and people with disabilities are free.
👉🏻Opening hours: 08:00–17:00 on weekdays and 07:00–17:00 on holidays; the latest entry is before 16:00.
👉🏻Transportation: Self-driving people can take Provincial Highway 9A to Wulai and turn onto Neidong Road. Bus users can take Taiwan Express or take a taxi directly to the entrance.
👉🏻Gear recommendations: The trail is smooth, so just wear light non-slip shoes; bring water and snacks for more comfort.
