When we first arrived in Madrid, we chose to stay at the highly-rated NH Madrid Nacional Hotel. 📍The location is super convenient, right on Paseo del Prado, 48 Barrio de Las Letras. The Prado Museum and the subway station are just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, making it extremely convenient to get around! Since opening in 1925, this hotel has been a favorite among travelers. 🚪The hotel offers 24-hour front desk service, and check-in and check-out were very smooth. The lobby has a safe and currency exchange service, and the entire public area is covered with Wi-Fi, which is very thoughtful! The elevator goes directly to each floor, which is very convenient to use 👍. The hotel is also equipped with a restaurant, bar, and a stunning garden, as well as a hair salon, room service, and laundry service! 🚗If you drive, the underground garage and ground parking lot will give you peace of mind. Our room was not only equipped with air conditioning, but also central heating, a balcony, a minibar, and a safe, making it very comfortable and safe. The bed is a pull-out double bed, and the mattress is just the right firmness, so we slept very well 😴. There is plenty of office space in the room, which is suitable for handling urgent matters. The bathroom is fully equipped with a hairdryer, shower, and bathtub, and is clean and fresh! The toiletries are also of good quality, and feel as familiar as the ones at home. We had a super authentic Spanish meal at Los Montes de Galicia nearby, which was very satisfying 💯. The best part is that it's only about a 20-minute walk from the hotel to the city center, Puerta del Sol, and the Royal Palace of Madrid, and the surrounding area is full of historical and cultural atmosphere. 🏡 The lobby is designed in a retro and modern style, and it feels very comfortable as soon as you walk in. The hotel has a total of 214 rooms, and the decor is simple and bright. The front desk is open 24 hours, and the staff are friendly and welcoming, always smiling and greeting you. The elevator is a little slow, but we walked a lot every day, so it was okay to take the stairs occasionally. 🛏️ Our room was spacious and air-conditioned, with a separate balcony overlooking the street. The standard room was big enough for two suitcases, and the double bed was large and comfortable (I didn't want to leave it). There are also many recommended restaurants around the hotel, such as Brunchit - Las Letras and Los Montes de Galicia, which are definitely worth a try. There is a McDonald's next to the NH Hotel, but it can be a bit noisy at night, so I recommend choosing a room away from it. But overall, the hotel is very private and soundproof, and I had a particularly good night's sleep. There are so many places to recommend in the area! The Prado Museum is definitely a must-see, and I felt like I was in an ocean of art. A few steps further is Retiro Park, where you can take a stroll and enjoy the lush greenery. The surrounding cafes and bars are also a must-visit, where you can taste authentic Spanish cuisine. Overall, NH Madrid Nacional is the perfect choice for enjoying Madrid's culture and convenient transportation. I would definitely come back if I had the chance! 💖🌟
