Part 1 of a 500,000 won Shanghai trip!
#ChinaTravelMoment
💵 Jeju - Shanghai round trip Jin Air: 140,000 won
💵 Pudong International Airport - People's Square late night bus: 4,400 won
💵 Hi inn hotel: 75,000 won (1 person / 3 days)
✨Day 1✨
Hotel check-in - Nanjing East Road Street - Zhende North Bund Branch - North Bund - Dalunpa viewing - Miniso - Half-a-drink
1️⃣ Hotel check-in and convenience store
I took a direct Jin Air flight to Jeju!
When I arrived, it was past 11 PM, so I took a late night bus to People's Square and checked in late.
I tried to go to Half-a-drink, which is open until 3 AM, but it was already close to 2 AM when I arrived at my accommodation, so I had a quick dinner at the convenience store!
The Family Mart right in front of my accommodation sells a variety of skewers! Most of them don't have a strong spicy taste, so they were good for a late-night snack.
And if you like fruit beer, I recommend Rio brand beers👍
💵 Convenience store: 72.70CNY (14,400 won)
2️⃣ Nanjing Donglu Street
There are so many shopping streets lined up in Nanjing Donglu!
There are many stores that are good for gifts, starting from Miniso, M&MS, Rabbit Candy, and hand cream.
If you couldn't buy anything in other tourist areas, you can buy it conveniently in Nanjing Donglu!
3️⃣ Jiande North Bundang Branch
Jiande is located all over Shanghai!
It's a restaurant where you can eat dim sum and tea together.
Among them, Hongmichan is famous. Hongmichan is one of the representative Cantonese dishes, and it's a dish where shrimp meat is wrapped in a thin fried spring roll skin and then wrapped again in a thin rice cake.
The crispy and chewy textures and the soft and rich taste of shrimp are the best!
It's the best dish to have with a glass of beer, but since Dojeondeok doesn't sell beer separately, you can buy it at a convenience store or a nearby store like Hot Maxx and take it with you.
In China, it's not a nuisance at all to eat drinks/alcohol/food that you bought outside. (This is really the best ♥️)
I ordered various dim sum dishes and dishes that you can eat in China, but when you go to a dim sum restaurant, you mainly eat dim sum.
💵 Dojeondeok: 231 CNY (46,000 won)
4️⃣ Oriental Pearl Tower North Bund
Did you know that the view of the Oriental Pearl Tower, which is famous along with the Bund, can also be seen from the North Bund?
There were fewer people than the Bund, so it was easy to take pictures.
The night view of the Oriental Pearl Tower is really nice, but the view of the Oriental Pearl Tower during the day is also beautiful, so make sure to visit!
💡Tip💡
There is a cafe called “manner coffee” right in front of you, and it is a space where you can see the Oriental Pearl Tower.
It also has a terrace, so how about enjoying a cup of coffee?
5️⃣ RT mart
Talunpa is one of the large marts in China!
As expected from a large mart, you can find a lot of Chinese liquors at cheap prices.
Talunpa is located a little outside of downtown Shanghai, so it is a little inconvenient to get around, but you should definitely visit at least once using the cheap Didi.
When I first traveled to Shanghai, I went to a small mart located on Nanjing East Road, but I was disappointed because there weren’t many kinds of liquors and there weren’t many snacks or good items for gifts. 🥹
💵 Shopping at Talunpa: 205CNY (41,000 won)
💡Tip💡
Jiangsu Baekdo, which is popular with the Chinese MZ generation, was also in Talunpa! Buy various fruit flavored Jiangsu Baek at a low price!
(If you order it at a Korean bar, it costs 10,000 won, but in China, you can buy it for 4,000 won)
6️⃣ Miniso
Chinese Miniso not only has various dolls and keychains, but also various animation goods.
Starting from Jujutsu Kaisen, Powerpuff Girls, Crayon Shin-chan, Conan, Haikyuu, and many other goods are sold at low prices, so take a look.
Not only that, they also sell a lot of various items like Chinese snacks, portable batteries, and cosmetics, just like Daiso!
💵 Miniso: 29.80CNY (6,000 won)
💡Tip💡
There are two Miniso on Nanjing Donglu. Be sure to go to the one with Miniso written big on the exterior.
Other branches don't have many items, and they are narrow and long, more than 6 floors, so you have to climb the stairs to the very top.
7️⃣ Half Drink
Half Drink is famous as an alternative restaurant to Henzhou Yiqian.
If you come to China, you must eat skewers!
This is a restaurant that made me visit Shanghai again after two months of wandering around after eating there on my first trip!!
There were various skewers such as lamb skewers, beef, pork belly, chicken feet, oyster mushrooms, and potatoes, and among them, you should definitely order cucumber and chives together :)
They also sell round bread-like things, which are also a delicacy!
Put your favorite skewers in the bread👍
💵 Half Drink: 381.90CNY (76,000 won)
💡Tip💡
You know that if you pay with Alipay, you will be charged a fee if it is over 200 yuan, right?
You can pay immediately after ordering, and if you order more, you can pay immediately without a fee.
Half-addrink is located in both Nanjing East Road and Shinsegae Department Store. Nanjing East Road is open until 3 AM, and Shinsegae is open until 3:30 AM, so please take note👍
The next part of my Shanghai trip, I will write a trip moment about Suzhou near Shanghai♥️
