I was in Cebu from March 10th to March 14th! I went on a whale shark tour, visited Tumalog Falls, and went to Moalboal where I saw sea turtles. This is a tour to swim with whale sharks. It's not too expensive, and the atmosphere and security are relatively good, so I highly recommend it. There was a woman who participated alone. It takes at least 3 hours by car from downtown Cebu, so you'll have to spend a whole day there, but I think it's worth it. The time you spend swimming with the whale sharks is also quite long, and although it's just how long it feels, I think it was more than 20 minutes. The whale sharks come pretty close, so you need to be careful not to come into contact with them. We stayed here in Aaron Beach Resort and it was great. Among all the beaches in Brgy. Tan-awan, Oslob, Cebu, this is the most affordable.Very nice ambiance and wonderful sun rise makes. Aaron Beach Resort is one of the resorts you can try out if you are planning to have a great time swimming with the whale sharks. It is a 3-4 hour drive from Cebu City. Locals and tourists visit Oslob mainly due to the presence of enormous whale sharks in the vicinity. I am not an experienced diver, however, this company made an exception as I have been diving a few times before and had done the discovery scuba-diving course in MoalBoal the day before. My friend and I booked package B at ‘Deep zone dive center’ in Oslob, which includes one whale dive, and two boat dives. The day began at 6:15am where we were picked up at our hotel around the corner in Oslob, then we headed out diving at around 7:45 am for the whale sharks. You get a briefing before you go about the distance you have to keep away from the whale sharks as they are protected and you will be fined if you touch them. The guide, Robert, was very patient and stayed with us the whole time. We had an hour dive at the whale sharks, before having a short break back at the dive centre, and then we went for our two dives on their new boat. The first boat dive we saw some black tip sharks and on the second boat dive we saw lots of schools of fish, some barracuda and tuna. At no point did I feel unsafe and, as you can see from the footage, Robert and his team took some amazing photos as well as videos. The whole day cost 6500 pesos each and lasted around eight hours, a sandwich and water was provided on the boat. The first time I came to Oslob to swim with whale sharks was a very special memory. The whale sharks were very close to me. The unit gave a safety briefing before I went into the water. The swimming time was about half an hour, and the water temperature was not too cold. Overall, it's a trip worth trying. #oslob

It is more convenient to go to Oslob by joining a tour group. You can swim with whale sharks, go to the beach, see waterfalls, visit ancient monuments, and a lunch is included. The hotel will pick you up at 3am, but the car is not big, and then we will go to Oslob, the whole journey will take about 2-3 hours Arriving in Oslob, the first attraction is of course to swim with whale sharks, but there are too many people there on weekends, so we have to eat while waiting. It was a great experience to have my first contact with a whale shark. Because I couldn’t apply sunscreen (to protect the marine environment), I bought a sunscreen jacket locally at a good price. At the 2nd stop, we went to see the waterfall. We had to take a short motorcycle ride to get there. The water of the waterfall was clear and transparent. The 3rd stop is Sumilon Sand Bar. You need to take a boat to the island 🏝️, but due to high tide, the Sand Bar was covered and everyone could only play in the water. 👣👣Take a historical walk and witness the unfolding of this history by visiting the Cuartel! 👣👣 🌟 Between two of the oldest streets in Oslob, Calle Aeternidad and Calle Aragones, stands the Oslob Cuartel. This well-preserved structure was built in 1860 but remained unfinished at the end of the Spanish occupation in 1898. 🇪🇸Similar to the Nuestra Señora de la Immaculada Conception, it was also made of coral stones. Cuartel is an unfinished structure built during the Spanish colonization made through the effort of El Gran Maestro Don Marcus Sabandal. It was initially planned to house the Spanish army and was supposed to take part in the first line of defense of the Spaniards during the attack of the Moros. The strong edifice of the quarters was made from the nineteen centimeters thick, coral stones of the collapsed bell tower of its nearby church Nuestra Senora dela Immaculada. 🗿Near the bay area is the statue of Father Julian Bermejo, also known by Cebuanos as El Parroco Capitan or El Padre Capitan. Another popular attraction in the southernmost part of Cebu - in the town of Oslob is Whale Shark watching. Whale Sharks are known to be the biggest species in the world and you can see them close in Oslob! You can also have a close encounter by snorkeling with them. The experience is indeed very memorable and enjoyable. A lot of people flock the area so it is best to go there early so you get to go first in line! Both locals and foreigners visit this place. Oslob is a nice place and the locals are very friendly.

One of the high light of my recent trip in our country is the tour in Oslob Cebu. This coastal town is small but world famous because of its whale shark watching tours. The tour is a guided one with pre orientation and supervises by the local government of Oslob. It is a wonderful experience and one you shouldn't be missed in Oslob. Imagine the encounter for real! It is one of the best. I wish for year 2023 I will be able to travel in South Korea and Japan! Still hoping for that.

Stayed at Down South as were in Oslob for the whale sharks and the Tumalog Falls. 1. Basic hotel with nice personnel. 2. The room is quite basic but definitely clean and comfortable 3. The view of the sea was great and if you are lucky, you will be greeted with a beautiful sunrise. 4. WIFI connection is quite unstable, though. Attractions - Natalia Tumalog falls on Cebu Island is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Philippines. The turquoise waters of the falls aren’t quite as vibrant as at Kawasan falls, but the sheer size of the waterfall makes it an incredible place to visit.
