[2025 Surabaya Shopping Mall] Travel Guide for Pakuwon Mall (Updated Jul)

This is Playtopia, but in Pakuwon Mall branch. I have been to their Ciputra World branch, but I think this one is more fun! They had these very tall slides, and it went fast like a roller coaster. My son was scared at first, but turned out to like it. There were soo many other things to do, like climbing, trampoline, artificial sand, huge ball pit, building blocks, etc. And I think this place fits 5-12 yo kids, not younger kids. Even some adults will like it! They also used bright colors, with great design, too. So this place was bright enough and gave the "fun" looks. I suggest you come on weekdays, because it could be very crowded at the weekend.

My friends and I really enjoy the cakes as they have lots of varieties to choose from and the taste is interesting and delicious. As we only have less than a day at Surabaya, we only manage to try food inside Pakuwon Mall, quite like the root beer float from A&W fast food. Shopping is relatively cheap compared to shopping in other ASEAN countries as they do carry some brands that are not available locally. 📌 Tips - For the hike to the crater, have to wear proper shoes as the hike is quite steep and be careful of horses 💩 as they are offered as alternatives should you do not want to walk or hike back and forth. If you are joining for the sunrise, wear warm jacket and hat as the wind blows, it is freezing cold. However, the view and experience of waiting for the sunrise will definitely make up for the cold and wait. Be prepared to get amazing photos!

What's amazing here is that you can enjoy fluffy, jiggling pancakes, similar to the famous Flipper's, at just half or even one-third of the price. The pancakes are really fluffy and not too sweet; you can adjust the sweetness by adding syrup or other toppings like ice cream. What we love about Pan&Co is that you will be spoiled for choice. There are plenty of options from sweet to savory, including bubble tea drinks and a Western menu with items like pasta and hamburg steak. The place is very cozy too. The only downside was that food preparations could be improved; it took them 45 minutes to prepare the hamburg steak, but it's understandable as they're newly opened.
