I flew to the Greater Bay Area seven times this year before I finally stayed in my dream room. 🛏️The room facing the Pearl River is spacious and comfortable, and the toiletries are the familiar Le Labo 22 with a bergamot scent. 🗼There are many places to see the Canton Tower, such as the pool, swimming pool, 70th-floor Yue Bar terrace, and lobby bar, all of which offer a high-altitude view. The atmosphere is great after the lights are turned on before Christmas, and the romantic decorations are lovely. 🥢The Michelin Black Pearl Award-winning Chinese restaurant, Yue Jing Xuan, serves signature Cantonese dishes: Zhanjiang Sand Ginger Chicken, made with 230-day-old Zhanjiang chicken and served with sand ginger sauce, is the most authentic Cantonese dish; Honey Sauce Marble Goby, smoked with fresh honey sauce, is served with a sense of ceremony, with mist swirling around it, making it very eye-catching; Crab Meat Pastry, made with hand-picked crab roe and crab meat, is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside; and Chenpi Red Bean Pastry, served with tea, is a delicious dish made in an open kitchen. 🖊️Super Potato's interior design work maintains a minimalist style, with the use of a lot of woodwork that does not look out of place. The Roof Bar is located in Park Hyatt Hotel on the 70th floor, with the amazing view on the Canton Tower. There’s the amazing live music and very nice atmosphere. They offer some kind of snacks, deserts, different kinds of alcohol and cocktails. If you don’t find the cocktail in the menu, you can ask the barman and he can make whatever you want. There’re some outdoor seats where you can enjoy the beautiful view and some indoor, too. The prices are above average but it’s definitely worth it. I came here with a stomach that was tired of eating. The environment on the 65th floor is really nice, with a wide view, but it’s a pity that I forgot to book a window seat in advance. It turned out to be a Michelin Italian restaurant, but the lunch was really... em, there was nothing to eat. The seafood is just mussels, shrimps and clams? Steak, chicken, salmon, pizza, desserts, fruits, that's pretty much it, I can count them all, only the panna cotta is pretty good. There just didn't seem to be much staff around to help. For example, when checking out it took them over 20 minutes to send a porter to grab my luggage. The visual proximity of the Canton Tower coupled with the oppressive feeling of a typhoon-day torrential rain sprinkling in front of the window, and the smoke of a cage of shrimp dumplings, at this moment, is so harmonious. Be sure to book a position by the window in advance, no matter rain or shine, the little waist is always suspended in the center of the field of view. Park Hyatt Guangzhou: This hotel is worth checking out A Destination for Hotel Stays: I chose the Park Hyatt Guangzhou, which I'm most familiar with and closest to home, for my last night as a Globalist. This is my tenth year working and living in Guangzhou, and it's also the tenth anniversary of the Park Hyatt Guangzhou, which gives me a strange sense of familiarity. Arriving on the 65th floor via the high-speed elevator, it feels like I've come to an unfamiliar city. Overlooking the busy Huacheng Avenue, I can escape from work this weekend and enjoy a moment of peace in the clouds. The woodblock printing decorations, the Lingnan wooden window grilles, the red bean soup for supper, the steamed vermicelli roll, turnip cake, and "one pot and two pieces" for breakfast make the most of the local Guangzhou daily life during the 24 hours of the traveler's hotel stay, and also grab the sense of unfamiliarity and pull it back. It's a shame that I didn't get to experience a suite on my last night as a Globalist this time, but the river view and tower view are also good. I look forward to the next Globalist experience.

The exterior of the building was designed by Goettsch Partners from the United States, While the interior design was entrusted to Super Potato, the go-to firm for MUJI. Lingnan elements such as wood and brick are intertwined with Japanese coldness, and you can also see their design language in the neighboring Rosewood. Five wooden tables in the lobby are made from whole African logs. Six wooden art installations echo the exterior architecture, understated yet powerful. The hotel even brought a 1:1 scale bronze Lingnan mansion into the sky lobby. A large amount of wood and plain colors give the rooms a comfortable texture, but also weaken the memorability. Luckily, I walked into a terrace seat at The Park Bar, but the outdoor seating is a bit cramped. The Canton Tower is graceful and charming at night, but the cocktails slightly fail to live up to the transparency of the space.
