Naga Cave
Tham Nakha - Phu Langka National Park
Tham Nakha is a cave in Phu Langka National Park, Bueng Khong Long District, Bueng Kan Province. It is characterized by its eroded rock formations, with patterns resembling snake scales.
📍 Preparing for Tham Nakha
- Try to go down in the morning because the weather is good, it is comfortable to walk, and it is not hot.
- When you arrive at the registration location, you can go up right away at 09.34. You will go down until 15.15.
- You must prepare your ID card, proof of registration via the QQ app, and proof of vaccination.
- Prepare food and water (1-2 bottles).
- You may also prepare smelling salts, muscle relaxant spray, and mineral salts.
- Cloth gloves, but this depends on the person because at some points you have to hold onto the rope while climbing because it is slippery and may cut your hands from the rope.
- Garbage bags, put garbage back down and throw it away.
- Some points are steep and slippery. Shoes must be good, and you must dress appropriately.
- If the weather is hot, prepare a hat and clothes that are suitable for the weather.
- Go to the bathroom properly. Will come back again when coming back down
📍 During the journey
- There is a volunteer guide to lead the way and give tips as appropriate
- Our group of 4 people had a very good guide who took care of us the whole time, fanned us, took pictures, recommended various points, and told us very good stories of legends.
- It wasn't long from the starting point, we reached point A
- There are 12 points in the journey, A-L
- Every letter has a meaning because it was very tiring to pass each point.
- Sip water slowly, take a break when you're tired, there are always places to rest, no need to force yourself, when you can, continue.
- There are a lot of stairs
- Not recommended for those with knee problems or cramps.
- I recommend going up to the point where you pay respect to Luang Pu Wang. There will be a shady wooden balcony there, suitable for stopping and having lunch.
- After this point, it will be the way back.
- On the way back, we walked for a long time without stopping.
- On the way down, my knees hurt from the stairs, my old enemy, lol
- In a moment, we reached the starting point. Yay 🎉
📍 Summary
- The place is beautiful. The sacredness is a personal belief, whether you believe in it or not. Please respect the place. Respect those who believe in you, know the time and place, maintain good manners, and follow the park's rules.
- Is it difficult to walk? I think it's not that difficult.
- More difficult than walking up the cave is to register.
- Now there is a new system of regulations, making it less crowded, comfortable to walk, and not crowded.
- Anyone who wants to come, get ready, register in time, and come on in! ❤️❤️
