The largest fish market in the Sicilian Peninsula, it is bustling with tourists visiting and locals shopping. Following the fish market, fresh vegetables, meat, and daily necessities are also sold. The market is open on weekdays in the morning (until around 1:00), so we recommend shopping there if you are staying in an apartment-type accommodation. Also, Osteria Antica Marina, located inside the market, has a wide variety of delicious appetizers, although they are priced for tourists, and I would definitely like to go back again.

The upper part is an exquisite Gothic spire. According to statistics, there are 135 of them, and the tallest one reaches an astonishing 108.5 meters. On the top stands a 4.2-meter-high golden statue of the Virgin Mary. The lower part is in typical Baroque style, with extremely intricate and exquisite sculpture decorations everywhere, as if telling the splendor of Renaissance architecture. Climbing eight steps to the top of the church, I reached this historic tower. Suddenly the view became clear, and I looked out over the city of Milan, overlooking the city's streets, houses and skyline, and a feeling of richness and satisfaction arose in my heart. Through the time tunnel of five centuries, I seem to be able to feel the historical changes that this church has witnessed.
