#0yentravelnovember As a panettone lover, I was excited to buy the panettone from staratta, which won the title of best panettone del mondo 2019, on the first day of my trip to Turin, but the staff member politely explained to me, "They keep selling out, and all the ones that came in this morning are sold out. They might bake it again tomorrow, but I'm not sure. Come in the morning." The next day, I opened the door to the store in the morning as instructed, and was told, "Sorry, from today we're not serving panettone, but focaccia. But it's made with the same dough as panettone, so I'm sure you'll like it." I had never heard of it in Rome, but it's a New Year's pancake eaten on Epiphany in Piedmont. Focaccia della Befana, a flower-shaped cake that means witch's pancake, with orange peel in the panettone dough. I love this taste! The shape and the accent flavor are slightly different from panettone. This difference allowed me to discover a new deliciousness! The refined sweetness of the orange peel lingers, and I can't stop eating! As expected from a long-established store that patronizes royalty and aristocracy, the focaccia is also €20. I also love how the #architecture is vintage and still modern. The buildings and streets are so much alike that it may be easy to get lost 🤣, but Google maps helps a lot. I will definitely plan to visit again!
