On our way to waterfall, we got caught up in big rain and when we stopped for a shade, we accidentally locked our scooter keys inside the back seat. Our phone battery was dying too and we were panicking cuz there was nobody on road neither was there any shops or people. After some time two backpackers stopped infront of us and asked if there’s any problem, we explained everything to them and they helped us take our bike to the mechanic. We are always grateful to the amazing Vietnamese people we’ve met on road. After all the trouble, we finally reached the beautiful waterfall and rested there for a while. The waterfall used to be big before but it’s unfortunate now that the reduced flow of this benevolent fall has robbed its gravity and grandeur. It was still worth a visit while you are in Dalat.

Pongour Waterfall is located about 50 kilometers from Dalat. It is interesting for its cascades falling from stone natural steps. It is not tall, but rather wide. The height of the waterfall reaches 40 meters, and the width is 100. It is especially beautiful here during the rainy season. On all sides, Pongour is surrounded by a natural park. Local tour companies do not organize group visits to this Vietnamese natural wonder. However, you can rent a car with a driver or book a private tour or go there by bike. Pongour waterfall is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy nature. It is located a bit far from Dalat city centre but it is worth visiting. We rented a motorbike and we enjoyed so much the landscape. Highly recommended! If you are planning to visit this spot we would recommend you to go during the rainy season around July to November. There are many waterfalls around Dalat. I will introduce you to three representative ones. I went there by scooter. The first is Datanla Waterfall. This waterfall is the closest to the city. So there are many people. One of its features is that you can ride a rail bike to the waterfall. It is a great place for a unique experience. The second is Lien Khuong Waterfall. This is not a tourist attraction, so there are no people. You can enjoy it in a quiet place. And unlike the pictures, it has a grand feel. The third is Pongor Waterfall. It was the most beautiful waterfall I have seen in Dalat. It is a natural waterfall, but it feels like an artificial waterfall. It is also a good place to take emotional pictures.
