I've always traveled abroad by plane, but I wanted to make some special memories and experiences, so I went from Seoul > Busan > Shimonoseki! I was so envious of people living in Busan, Seoul Personson.. Itsumi,, Since the boat departs at night, I recommend a trip to Shimonoseki, a small Japanese city that even office workers can visit on the weekend without annual leave. This time, the goal was to enjoy the cherry blossoms 🌸 We saw cherry blossoms in Kikugawa, Yamaguchi, had Takase's Kawara Soba on the way back, and stayed at a hotel in Mojiko. The next day, we strolled around Kokura Castle, found delicious potatoes at a food truck, and had a great time. It looks like it will rain tomorrow, so I'm glad we made it in time to see the cherry blossoms! I had a relaxing holiday ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

The second stop of our trip to Kitakyushu, we arrived at Mojiko. We decided to come to Mojiko because we were attracted by the nostalgic style photos of the station. It was windy and rainy the day we arrived, but luckily our hotel was not far from the station, only a 5-minute walk away. The hotel is also full of nostalgic style, and the dinner in the hotel's Italian restaurant is also very good. At noon, after storing our luggage at the hotel, we took a boat in the rain to the Karato Market on the other side. Because it was not the weekend and it was raining, there were not many customers in the market and it was a bit deserted. We chose a box of sweet shrimps and prepared to find a place to eat something, but we couldn't find a place to sit down and eat in the market. Later, I found a conveyor belt sushi restaurant on the second floor outside the market. It was very popular and required a 15-minute queue. After eating and drinking, we took the boat back to Mojiko. Although it was raining heavily, it was still a perfect day.

It is very conveniently located in the heart of Mojiko, surrounded by many restaurants, shops and attractions. I stayed at this hotel in March 2024. The hotel lobby and public areas still retain the classical elegance of the past, with a sense of history. The room I stayed in was also spacious and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. Every time I come to Fukuoka, I move to Mojiko and make memories for 2 nights and 3 days. Buy a Sonic Limited Express ticket from Hakata Station in Fukuoka to Mojiko Station, and take the express train for 40 minutes to Kokura Station. Get off here and transfer to a local 6-car train going to Mojiko Station on the opposite platform, and you will arrive at Mojiko Station in about 20 minutes. When you get off at Mojiko Station, you will feel as if you have taken a time machine and gone back to a certain era in the modern era. That is because Mojiko is the gateway port where Japan first accepted Western civilization. If you walk 3 minutes from the station, you will see my hotel, Premier Hotel Mojiko. Since the hotel faces the Kaimon Strait, you can feel the rapid water flow of the Kaimon Strait from the hotel room with the sea view. The hotel is inexpensive but looks luxurious. The staff is friendly and there is no inconvenience. As soon as I unpacked my luggage, I went to the Banana Plaza behind the hotel, across the railroad tracks, and across the main street to the Holiday Supermarket. I bought delicious fruits like apples, bananas, tomatoes, strawberries, and delicious square cucumbers, as well as homemade sandwiches, and bought a 2-liter bottle of water before heading back to the hotel. I recommend using the supermarket instead of buying expensive food. If you get hungry on the way, sit on a bench in Banana Plaza, fill your stomach with fruits and sandwiches, and watch the boats and people. Also, there is a sushi restaurant, Haein, that you should visit at least once between 11:30 for lunch and 10:00 for dinner. It is right across the railroad tracks from Banana Plaza from the hotel. Other sushi restaurants cost 5,000-10,000 yen per person, so the portions are large and the price is burdensome, but Haein is okay for 1,500-2,000 yen per person. I wouldn't recommend it if you are a fool who fills your stomach with sushi. However, if you enjoy the taste and the visuals, it is a great value for money if you eat once a day at this price. If you want to make memories, come to Mojiko. You won't regret it. I recommend a trip where you can rest for 2-3 days rather than a day trip. #Mojikoofmemories

#summertrip Moji is a town that makes you feel history. There are many historical buildings left, and you can walk around in about an hour. Shimonoseki is also conveniently located about 10 minutes by boat. One-day unlimited ride tickets are available. You can also go to Ganryujima. The Kanmon Tunnel is also within walking distance, and is a very fun spot. You can walk around Moji and Shimonoseki in one day. It's good to see the various large ships sailing through the Kanmon Narrows. I recommend grilled curry in Moji, and a meal at Karato Market in Shimonoseki.
