Due to the popularity of court music at the time, even the famous composer Joseph Haydn performed here. Over time, the palace has undergone many changes in use, including as the Governor's Office and government agencies, until it officially became the Slovak Presidential Palace in 1996. Nowadays, the interior of the Grasurkovic Palace is not open to general tourists, but the exterior and the square are popular photo spots. The guard change ceremony at noon every day attracts many tourists to stop and appreciate. The ceremony is brief but quite imposing, and it is a good opportunity to experience the local political ceremony culture. The "Presidential Garden" (Prezidentská záhrada) behind the palace is open to the public. It is one of the green spaces for citizens to walk and rest. The green paths, fountains and statues are dotted in between, and the environment is elegant and pleasant. This building combines history, music, politics and modern life. It is not only a symbol of the head of state, but also reflects the urban temperament of Bratislava that combines the elegance of the old world with the spirit of the new era. Slovakia is a minor country in Europe. I went to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, a wonderful place where history and modernity blend together! It's a compact city, so you can enjoy it in just a day or two 🤍 Let me introduce it to you right away ~ ① UFO Tower (first photo) As the name suggests, it is an observation deck shaped like a UFO 🛸 At a height of 80 meters, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Bratislava from the observation deck! There seems to be a cafe and souvenir shop on the observation deck, so please go and check it out. From a little distance, the combination of the modern UFO tower and the historical building was a strange feeling lol ② Count Grasalkovich Palace (second photo) This palace appears when you walk from the station towards the old town. It is the presidential residence and is said to be the White House of Slovakia. In front of the building there is a globe fountain ⛲️🌍 It is said to represent freedom. You can see the changing of the guard at around 12pm 💂 There is also a French-style garden in front of the palace where you can spend some relaxing time. It was a space that made me want to sit on a bench and read a book on my day off! ③Blue Church (photos 4 and 5) When you think of Bratislava, you think of the Blue Church. Its official name is St. Alzbeta Church ⛪️ It has a fairy-tale atmosphere with its pastel colors. You can visit the inside for free at set times, 6:30-7:30 and 17:30-19:00 ☺️ Please try to go at a time when you can see it ~ ④Cityscape It's a very stylish city with trams running, churches, and pastel-colored houses lined up. It's the capital, but it's not too crowded and is a compact city, so I hope you'll explore it on foot. Primatial Palace Whilst in the Old Town, you can see the Primatial Palace – a neoclassical palace which was built from 1778 to 1781The Slovak National Theatre building and square are another delight.
