2 Days in Khao Yai: Wine, Flowers & Hidden Gems – My Private Tour Experience from Bangkok 🍷🌻
If you’re planning a quick getaway from Bangkok and love nature, good food, and unique photo spots – Khao Yai should definitely be on your radar. I booked a private 2-day Khao Yai tour package that includes pick-up and drop-off from Bangkok, with a comfortable car that can fit up to 5 people. For just the two of us, the tour cost SGD $294 total – super worth it for the convenience, comfort, and flexibility. Weather was cool and breezy during our visit, which made it the perfect summer destination to escape the city heat.
Here’s how our itinerary went:
⸻
📍Day 1 – Wine, Flowers & Italian Vibes
🍇 PB Valley Winery
We started our Khao Yai adventure with a wine tasting session at PB Valley – one of Thailand’s most well-known wineries. The tour included a walk through the vineyard, insights into wine-making, and of course, a lovely wine tasting to end it off. A relaxing way to kickstart the day. For wine tasting you need to pay extra and need to book advance.
🍕 Primo Piazza (Toscana Valley)
Next, we visited Primo Piazza, also known as Toscana Valley, a mini Italian village surrounded by scenic mountains. Grab a slice of pizza or just take your time wandering the rustic streets. The architecture is stunning and great for Instagram-worthy photos.
🌸 Hokkaido Flower Park
A must-stop for flower lovers! Endless fields of seasonal blooms, and we were lucky to catch it in full bloom. Feels like stepping into a countryside garden in Japan.
🍽️ Midwinter Green
We had dinner at Midwinter Green, which is a bit on the pricey side – but the vibes, music, and castle-like setting made it so worth it. It’s a great spot to enjoy your meal with beautiful views and live acoustic performances.
🌙 Night Market
To end the day, we dropped by a local night market. Street snacks, local drinks, and a lively atmosphere. It’s a good way to wind down the day and do some casual shopping.
📍Day 2 – Sunflowers, Animals & a Hidden Gem
🏡 Hobbit House
To be honest, this stop is skippable unless you’re a big fan of the Hobbit movies.
🌻 Farm Chokchai
Because it’s sunflower season, we stopped by for photos and a quick walk around. The blooming sunflowers made for the perfect golden backdrop.
🦙 Bonanza Exotic Zoo
An interactive zoo where you can get up close and feed the animals. Great for kids, but still fun for adults who want to enjoy a lighthearted activity.
⛩️ Mountain Pagoda Stop
A scenic stop on the way back to Bangkok – there’s a beautiful mountain pagoda statue, perfect for a quick photo break.
🏠 Ban Mai Chay Nam, Pak Chong
Our last stop before heading back: Ban Mai Chay Nam, hidden gem traditional Thai restaurant a must go. Good for photo taking also.
🚗 Back to Bangkok
After that, our driver sent us back to our hotel in Bangkok. The whole journey was smooth and well-paced, with enough flexibility to enjoy each place without feeling rushed.
