Pub Street Siem Reap 🇰🇭
#2024wish
I just had a trip with my crew to Siem Reap, and at night we go to the pub street that is in the center of Siem Reap city. There are a lot of bars and nightclubs that we can enjoy for the nightlife.
Pub Street, officially titled "Street 8," is a 100-meter stretch of road in Siem Reap, Cambodia, known for its neon-lit clubs, bars, restaurants, and vendors. The street was renovated during the COVID period and features a new sewerage system for rainy weather. Located near the beautiful Siem Reap river and markets, it is a popular destination for backpackers to gather and dance the night away. The street started as a small, 3-restaurant establishment in 1998, followed by the Angkor WHAT? Bar, the Singaporean Asian Rooftop restaurant, and the Red Piano Restaurant. Other notable landmarks include the Temple Club and Le Tigre de Papier. In 2005, the street was paved and turned into a cleaner road.
Pub Street's nightlife extends to two parallel alleys: "The Lane" (located north of Pub Street) and "The Passage." Visitors can enjoy a variety of culinary treats, including Khmer specialties, Western favorites, 75-cent drought beers, and crispy insect munchies. Indulge in authentic Cambodian cuisine, such as Cambodian BBQ or fried ice cream rolls, and enjoy a fish massage before dancing. Pregame with a cold $0.75 draft beer from anywhere on the street. For a more low-key night, check out Sok San Street and Night Market Street, which have many backpacker bars and unique pubs. Beware of common scams, such as the baby milk scam, where disenfranchised women are tricked into buying milk powder from a mini-mart.
I would recommend visiting Pub Street for night walking and drinking some beer for the party of your travels so you will have the best memory of your travels with the beautiful view of nightlife. #pubstreet #nightlife #nightwalk
