We visited local temples, wandered through narrow streets, and enjoyed amazing fresh seafood—especially the crab dishes! The pace of life is slow and relaxing, a total contrast from city life. It’s also rich in Chinese heritage, with many Teochew and Hokkien influences still alive in daily life. Getting There - Drive or take KTM Komuter to Port Klang Pulau Ketam Jetty. Take a boat ride (abt 30mins) to reach Pulau Ketam. Chk out Boat schedule before you go. Usually available at 1 hr interval from 9am-6pm. Enjoy the scenic and pleasant short boat ride. Attractions - Fishing Village, seafood, culture, nature, Kelong (offshore platform to farm fishes), Hotels - Few hotel & Homestay available Food & Restaurants - Street food , snacks, coffee shops available and easy to find near the jetty. Getting ard is easy, can rent e-bike or just walk. no cars on the island. travels on small walk path / bridges which connect all the houses/shops/buildings. Shopping - no shopping mall. only small shops selling traditional products like dried seafood, cookies, etc.

A solo trip…. It took 30 minutes to reach Pulau Ketam (Crab Island) by air-conditioned speedboat… I felt very familiar when I went to the pier to buy the ticket...Why? Because they can speak Minnan dialect... We passed through Gojo Port on the way... I really wanted to get off the ship... But the ticket seller asked me not to get off the boat…. I had an amazing dining experience at Pulau Ketam, Klang. The place situated around 1 hlur drive from Kuala Lumpur. I had a delicious spread of seafood meals, including, fried pomfret, kam heong prawn, fried squid with saled egg sauce, and shark fin soup. The price is also reasonable.
