Spain🇪🇸One of the most beautiful hospitals in the world! Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau
When it comes to Barcelona, the first thing that comes to mind may be the Sagrada Familia or Gaudi's fantastic buildings. But in fact, not far from the Sagrada Familia, there is a world heritage building complex that is both dreamy and low-key - Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. Although its name sounds like a hospital, it has long been transformed into a tourist attraction full of art and history! ✨
🚶♀️Walk along Gaudí Avenue, it's super pleasant!
Starting from the Sagrada Familia, walk slowly along the exotic Avinguda de Gaudí Avenue, and you will arrive in about 15 minutes. There are small cafes and specialty shops on both sides. As you walk, you will see the whole super eye-catching red brick building in front of you, and you can't help but say "Wow~"! 😍
🏛️ The hospital is so beautiful? ! Like a fairytale castle
Do you think hospitals are cold and serious? This place completely subverts your imagination of medical space!
🌈 The whole building is in Catalan modernist style, made of red bricks, painted pottery, stained glass and mosaics, with arches, spires and tiles, as if walking into a fairytale castle~ and each building has a different theme, super good to take pictures! 📸📸
🌿 Take a walk in the garden with sunshine, the healing index is off the charts!
The design of the hospital is not only beautiful, but also very "intimate". As soon as you walk in, there is a large garden surrounded by red brick pavilions. The sun shines down from the ceiling, with flowers and colorful tiles, the whole person is relaxed~ It feels like walking into a Miyazaki animation scene! 🍃☀️
🔍 Not just a hospital, but also an art museum!
The former operating room, wards, underground passages and other spaces are still preserved inside. Every corner is decorated with a sense of art. It doesn't look like a medical space at all. Instead, it feels like appreciating an art exhibition.
✨ The mosaic ceiling in the operating room is very eye-catching. When listening to the tour guide, I learned that the architect designed it so warmly to relieve the stress of patients (so thoughtful!)
Hospital de Sant Pau is a place that will make you feel that "architecture can really heal people's hearts." Whether you are a history enthusiast, an art enthusiast, or just taking pictures, you will never be disappointed here. 📍💖
