Red Rock Canyon is very close to Las Vegas. It takes half hour to drive from the strip the the park. During summer time it can be very hot, so it is more recommended to travel in spring, autumn, or winter. The park is not small and not free if you want to drive on the scenic drive, which is the most beautiful part of the park. There are lots of parking spots along the scenic drive and many nice trail to hike. You can see lots of beautiful rocks and canyons in the park. Also, there are lots of desert plants and animals in the canyon. If you have never been to such canyon, it definitely worth the visit here, especially you are on the strip. It is nice to have a quite half day away from the crowd strip and enjoy the natural beauty of Nevada!

#0yentripFebruary2025 From Las Vegas to the Grand Circle in a rental car. It takes about 4 hours from Las Vegas to Bryce Canyon. There are various walking routes depending on the time, but since we didn't have much time, we walked a short course of about 1 hour. The magnificent scenery of natural rock formations called hoodoos spreads out before us. After that, we moved to Page for about 2 hours. On the way, we stopped at an observation deck overlooking the Colorado River and Hoover Dam. We had dinner in Page and went to bed. The next day, we headed to Antelope Canyon, which we had reserved, in the morning. This time, we participated in the Lower Canyon tour, one of the three Antelope Canyons. We walked through the beautiful rock faces with a feeling of adventure. After that, we stopped at Horseshoe Bend and arrived at the Grand Canyon. We walked for about 2 hours, and then returned to Las Vegas for about 4 hours. Although the driving was hard, it was two days of great fun at our own pace.

The vast expanse of red rocks made me feel the grandeur of nature. The Centric Drive course, which takes you around once in a while, was nice, but it was more attractive to get off and climb the rocks or walk the trail. The Calico Hills side had vivid and magnificent rocks, giving it an overwhelming feeling, and the Icebox Canyon was interesting because it had a path that went into the crevices of the rocks. The contrast between the red rocks and the blue sky in the quiet nature was beautiful, and the photos turned out pretty. It was even more impressive because it was a place where you could feel the charm that was the complete opposite of the flashy downtown Las Vegas.

We spent a few hours here doing short hikes and exploring the canyon. We visited in October and it was hot, 80 degrees Fahrenheit, but not unbearable. Many of the trails were very walkable and easy. I would recommend a hat and sunscreen as there is little shade. It's about an hour from Las Vegas and makes for a perfect day trip. We combined this with a drive to Death Valley at sunset. Beautiful scenery and lots to see. Highly recommend!

The red rocks at Red Rock Canyon are very much red indeed. We didn't do any hiking here, but it seemed that people were enjoying themselves. The nice thing about coming here is it's very easy to just do the loop in your car. There are plenty of places to stop along the way and get out to have a short walk around. So really there's a bit of something for everyone. You can do involved, long-duration hikes, or just stick to the road. Either way there's lots to see. #triplocal

Just 15 kilometers from Las Vegas, there is a peculiar landscape. Some people call it the back garden of Las Vegas the Red Rock Canyon National Nature Reserve. From Las Vegas, you can reach the "RED ROCK CANYON" in half an hour. The red sandstone and white limestone layers in the valley are layered together, reflecting each other, with the backdrop of green plants. As well as the rolling hills in the distance, a landscape with a sense of three-dimensionality is formed. Of course, the best solution is to drive by car, a 13-mile-long return road, and the scenery along the way is beautiful.
